No matter what happens over the next six days, today starts the final week of baseball in 2026.
Enjoy this, #Rays fans. Cheer like hell. Show these guys the appreciation they deserve for an unprecedented and incredible season.
Couldn’t be more grateful for this team’s brand of baseball that’s represented Tampa Bay on the grandest stage.

Saying playing in Tampa is basically a home game for you, then losing both of those games, then coming back to your actual home field and getting swept out of the postseason in front of your other home fans

I GENUINELY DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW JONATHAN ARANDA HAS FANS. HE HAS NEVER BEEN EXCITING, PLAYS A RANCID BRAND OF BASEBALL, AND FAILS UNLESS HE GETS A MEATBALL PITCH.

The Rays were 48-2 this season when they outhomered the opposition
That is the best record in MLB history in such games (min: 50 times outhomering the opposition)

Now that Chandler Simpson hit a 1/30 ball that would have been gone at “Yankee stadium”, Yankee fans have an interesting choice to make 😭😭😭😭

Tampa Bay Rays up 4 games in AL East with 13 games to play.
If Tampa Bay goes 6-7 rest of way, and beats New York once, the Yankees must go 11-2 rest of way to win division.

I hate the Texas Rangers, so much.
They are right behind Boston and New York for my hatred.

An annual tradition like no other. I will not engage this year. The goal is always to get in because teams understand you can’t realistically set a goal to win a World Series. Sure, you can strive for that, but that’s not how goal setting works in any profession

“Analytics” means trying to determine how valuable each play/outcome is. But to the indignant, it means taking huge swings and throwing erratic pitches. It’s no wonder there’s such a disagreement. The argument isn’t in the same universe. Unfortunately there’s no “meeting in the middle” here. Analytics will remain an effort to try and understand what wins baseball games with no room for any other interpretation.

BREAKING: The Hillsborough County Commission has voted in favor of the $2.3 billion stadium deal, which follows Tampa City Council's approval yesterday. After nearly two decades, the Tampa Bay Rays stadium saga is all but over. The #Rays have secured their forever home in Tampa.
