Much love to Alex Pretti and Renee Good—but remember—ICE has killed 9 people in 2026. You know the names of the 2 white people they've killed. ICE has also killed a Black man named Keith Porter, a Cambodian named Parady La, and five Latinos named Heber Sanchaz Domínguez, Victor Manuel Diaz, Luis Beltran Yanez-Cruz, Luis Gustavo Nunez Caceres, and Geraldo Lunas Campos. ICE is on pace to kill more than 100 people this year. Abolish ICE. Impeach Noem. Prosecute those who committed these crimes.

I just got off a call with a friend in minneapolis I didn’t understand how bad the situation is right now, I don’t think any of us outside MSP do they were patrolling outside her window as I was talking to her there are thousands of them she (a white woman) now carries her passport with her when she leaves the house our call was interrupted by helicopters last year the ICE budget was $10B it’s now $85B this is coming to your doorstep soon the silence of CEOs and even Democratic leaders right now is shameful. if you don’t understand how 1930s Germany happened, this is how it happened. there’s nothing more unamerican. my grandpa manned a machine gun in the south pacific to fight this ideology. our constitutional rights are being shredded to pieces, and the powerful are bending their knee to it. i don’t care about your stance on immigration, if you support masked thugs terrorizing american communities, pointing guns at citizens and demanding papers, entering homes without warrants— please, take a hard look in the mirror and reevaluate the dissonance with your american values and the freedom your ancestors fought to give you.

Replying to @alexdotjs
@alexdotjs huge thanks for tRPC! Using it at my current job & it's enabled us to build an insane amount incredibly fast 🙏💪 How can I incrementally write the http response in a tRPC endpoint? I don't want a streaming response, moreso want to call res.write myself.

We tried using httpBatchStreamLink but it had huge regressions on all existing endpoints. I benchmarked it and compared to vanilla http using res.write and batch streaming was 5-6x slower and 5x larger response Case is for a ~100MB payload, an array with roughly 10k items

I am speaking to you from inside the city of Gaza from the heart of the destruction, from among the tents, the rubble, and the daily pain. I’m telling you the truth as it is: people here are dying slowly. There is an urgent need for food, clean water, and medical care. Nothing is available. Aid does not reach us. Hunger is consuming lives, disease is spreading unchecked, and fear is constant part of every moment we live. People simply want to survive one day without the sound of shelling… to sleep without explosions, without panic, without the cries of terrified children. Safety no longer exists here. Even sleep has become a distant dream. Children have lost everything. It’s been more than three years without access to education. A generation is being erased before our eyes. Infants and young children desperately need milk, healthy food, diapers, and vaccinations but even the most basic needs are out of reach. There’s no electricity, no clean water, no proper care. The sick are suffering in silence. Many urgently need to leave Gaza to receive treatment, but the borders are closed, and no one is listening. Countless lives have been lost waiting for help that never came. Life in Gaza is no longer livable. We are not asking for luxuries we’re asking for survival. This place is collapsing, day by day. In truth, it has already collapsed… and the world is watching. Please, have mercy on the children. Have mercy on the elderly, on the women, on the sick. End this war before nothing is left to save.

Shout-out to everyone else who hit the gym Monday and proceeded to overdo the weights after not working out for a while, and is waking up today cripplingly sore. Raise your hand if you, too, can barely raise your hand today! 🙃 Nice job, keep it up 👏 #NewYearsResolutions

This is why I spent a day figuring out how to make the @together_xr avatars dynamically blink right after generating them. Every single beta tester has noticed this subtle detail and loved it. It immediately frames the whole experience as one of quality and attention to detail.
Your product doesn’t need a lot of features but the thing that you’re testing needs to feel like a German car door—reaching a level of quality that doesn’t distort signal. Distortions can arise from the product being so half-baked that users don’t allow it to proceed into the consideration stage. Contrary to popular wisdom, sometimes a slick animation early on is the cheapest way to sneak into the consideration stage. This is especially the case if your greatest uncertainty lies at the top funnel.

First everyone assumed I was as a billionaire crypto fraudster because I'm an MIT c/o 2014 software engineer. Now people are saying I, too, must be a folk hero vigilante as a handsome Italian American software engineer. Where will the gross stereotypes end?!? /s

Flip side of this, sometimes your “vocal minority” is wheelchair-bound person asking for the ability to turn off a feature you thought would be killer. Reconsidering might actually help you design a better game. This happened to me. This is an example of unconscious bias.
VR devs, please don’t build features based on loud feedback from a tiny minority. Every feature has a cost, regardless of how simple it may seem. Focus on features that will move whatever needle matters most to your experience and avoid trying to please everyone.

It’s so funny to me that all the people saying yes in the replies qualify their answers. “Largely” “as the primary” “with neural input” So, no! VR or XR is not replacing your phone. Ever. No matter how good it gets. We’re better off acknowledging that and making something new!
my podcast back catalogue just served me up a really excellent conversation btwn @boztank & @ID_AA_Carmack from last year, highly recommend checking it out. One surprise: I had no idea Carmack believes VR should aim to replace existing devices. I’ve been at this since the DK1 and I don’t think I’ve ever seriously thought of VR replacing anything. What do you all think? Could you imagine a future where you have a VR headset (or even Orion glasses) instead of a laptop or a phone?

Every time I see posts like this, about how we're soon going to see "1-person billion dollar startups," or how AI agents will replace entire departments, I think about how profoundly lonely it will be. How much we'll lose by removing so much human connection. Why do we want this?
the next wave of startups won't launch with marketing teams they'll launch with AI agents running everything 24/7 - from content to acquisition to analytics. this isn't future talk. quietly there are founders who are printing with growth ai agents right now (but they won't tweet about it). imagine your acquisition agent runs 50 meme accounts simultaneously, testing hooks across different niches, generating 1000 posts daily until it finds what hits. your research agent analyzes 100k tweets per hour, finding unmet needs and feature requests that no one's building for. your content agent creates 200 unique hooks daily across X, linkedin, and tiktok, learning from each response, optimizing for what works. your community agent welcomes every new user personally, handles support tickets in seconds, and turns feedback into feature priorities. your SEO agent generates 500 pages of perfect content daily, while your ads agent tests 1000 creative variations across platforms, automatically killing what doesn't work. we already use this at @boringmarketer your email agent writes and tests 50 different sequences, personalizing every message based on user behavior. your analytics agent spots trends before humans could, adjusting strategy in real-time. the growth stack becomes fully automated, working 24/7. you get the idea. you pay per result. what previously required 20 people and $2M in salary now happens automatically with $2k in agent costs. one founder becomes as powerful as a funded startup. customer acquisition becomes predictable. growth becomes systematic. winners will be whoever has access to the best agent stack first, whoever has the taste to listen to the right signals and whoever can find the right niche at the right time. fun to think about because you can see it already start to happen. game on.

This just forever changed how I implement conditional styles, awesome tip @adamwathan! I just refactored 10 spots in my app to use data or aria attributes instead of clsx. Love that it makes the UX better for folks using screen readers, too.
Little Tailwind tip — instead of trying merge classes and manage conflicts with `!important`, style things based on data or ARIA attributes and just handle everything declaratively with CSS:
