I’m fortunate. I’ve been successful in business, I have money, I don’t have to worry about our financial future. I donate my entire MP salary to local charities, to show that I’m in politics for the right reasons.
I’ll be honest. I don’t have to worry about paying the mortgage each month, or having enough money to buy the children what they want for their birthday, or even being able to put food on the table.
I don’t, but I know millions of Brits do. That’s the brutal reality.
Hardworking British men and women should not have to live like that. If you work hard, put the hours in and live honestly?
You should be rewarded for it, properly.
That means lower tax, MUCH lower tax and higher thresholds, but it also means a state that can keep inflation under control so that the cost of living does not outstrip your wage.
Fuel, food shop, clothes, electricity. Everything. It all gets more expensive whilst so many earn the same.
Inflation. All driven up by the decisions of politicians who will never have to live with the consequences of their actions.
Our economy is completely broken. It works for the international corporates, the bureaucrats, the London managers.
It does NOT work for the plumber, the entrepreneur, the farmer, the construction worker, the hairdresser, the nurse, the sole trader, the HGV driver, the police officer.
We must aim to entirely reshape how the economy works so that vast profits made from British workers are not shifted offshore through complex corporate structures whilst working families are bled dry by our corrupt state.
I want family businesses to thrive, entrepreneurs to succeed, risk-takers to flourish. Those who contribute, protect and enhance our society rewarded. I want the shirkers and piss-takers crushed.
That’s what I want. That’s what Restore Britain wants.
I don’t want the parasitic global corporations or our rotten state profiting off the ingenuity and sweat of the British risk-taker. Rotten monopolies that have no respect for the individual will end.
In short - an economy that provides for our people.
There is ONE way out. A Britain that lives within it means. Just as we all have to, our state must do the same. Spend less than it earns. It’s that simple.
That is how we make Britain affordable again, make Britain ambitious again and make Britain work again.
That’s what a Restore Britain Government will deliver.
Release the innate brilliance and tenacity of the British people.
Our entrepreneurial spirit conquered the world before and we can do it again.

Look at this! 💎🤗😎
when @daidatep did the calculations for the Diamond Hands 💎 badge on the CENTS Collector Walls, he found that a striking 80% of wallets meet the criteria:
"holding its current position 365+ days while selling very little to nothing of it"
Indeed it's a very diamond-handed community of that rare breed, actual collectors.
And yes, future projects should 100% use this diamond-hand column :p

3 new Collector Walls claimed
and what Walls they are omfg
@leslie077077's collection as you can see stretches back to 1912 (the first 1/1 year), contains a Patina Sig Set (one of only 28), as well as three Full patinas (including 1 of only 15 Full Verdigris Cents), as well as a Contaminated Set.
@dev4i's Wall shows a Chronicle Set, a full 70s decade, and a chunk of interesting traits.
@0x613b10's Wall shows that even a one-Cent wall is a great wall. A 1968 Cent, from the year that the Beatles' White Album was released, which is the subject of another of Rutherford's major projects, We Buy White Albums.
All 3 of them with diamond hands badges as well
💎💎💎
and all 3 of them with Cents PFPs!
welcome to the Wall.

VALUE IN MOTION ACROSS SPACE AND TIME

If I could suggest just 1 collection for you, fellow collector, to study and learn, it would be this one.
CENTS, by Rutherford Chang, is the most perfect symbolic representation of VALUE IN MOTION ACROSS SPACE AND TIME.
IYKYK. If you don't, there's still time, but not for long.
right now I sense that CENTS is a coiled spring
it's an interesting moment
let me tell you some things you might not yet know:
◉ the estate has just started working with one of the best art advisories in the world, Alan Schwartzman's team (ask GPT about him and see what I mean)
◉ CENTS has been recognized by Frieze, Art in America, the NYT, eflux, The Art Newspaper, Christie's, Taschen, monopol
◉ through the bears, CENTS has remained notably solid, to the point that we joke about it being a stablecoin on bitcoin. But nor for long. And it's not going away.
◉ CENTS has one of the most extensive and in-depth collection explorers of any project I've ever seen, built out of pure love by @daidatep & @pactalom together with the Trait Council. (cents。vision - take a moment to see how ridiculously cool the feature set is).
◉ that pure love? I see it hatch again & again, and it's magical. Once it clicks with people, it clicks unreasonably hard (as does all of Rutherford's art).
◉ again, you might not know it yet, but many of the most refined collectors in the space are among us
◉ CENTS is a quintessence of Bitcoin, a prism of the digital objecthood and transformation that Bitcoin introduces, a performance of value. (If you think that's a crazy thing to say, then just find out for yourself what the project is, read up, ask in the discord or x chats, talk to the CENTSbot)
◉ It legitimately might be one of the greatest pieces of blockchain art in existence.
So, let's see. I'd like to watch it clear its next threshold.
Once it does, it has all of the ingredients it needs to sustain there, and from there to ascend.

The CENTS moment
Not hype for hype’s sake, but a deep recognition of what has been there all along: an extraordinary work, an extraordinary collector base, and a community that keeps looking, building, and caring.
Proud to be part of it.

Replying to @artonchain0x
it's really time for a bit of a cents push isn't it
farewell, Bretton Woods
1971
55 years ago today, the world woke up to a new monetary reality.
Nixon had ended the dollar’s convertibility into gold.
Value began to bleed out. Wages diverged from productivity as debt, asset prices & the money supply skyrocketed.
The core causes that necessitated the creation of Bitcoin were set in motion.
CENTS shines a spotlight on this history from outside of time: Rutherford Chang makes the one cent coin into a ongoing transformation of value, forever in flux between the definition ascribed to it by the centralized state and the redefinition that continuously takes place among decentralized participants.
The movements of history, the force of Bitcoin, the essence of Ordinals, performed as an artistic act.
A relevance that, unfortunately, continues to increase.

I finally pulled the trigger and
got myself a CENTS Ordinal.
It's not as grimy as I'd like...
But not bad.😉
It's a great project. Actual art.
I love that it's permanently
inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain.
