There is no need for it to be in the dock. Use it as a controller for Terraria on PC and also have access to your inventory, display the map or even be able to place blocks. Maybe the video of my demo shows it better :) youtu.be/uCV56_td40o

I'm a little late to the party but aside from any gameplay mechanic I'd love to see some gamepad support (similar to what the Wii U had to offer) with a Steam Deck on PC. I made a PoC on mobile for Minecraft and could already picture this with Terraria. Picture just for reference
