Okomu Oil Q3 2026 Results
Not a great outing for Okomu so far in 2026. Q3 numbers were in line with the previous quarter's trend.
Gross profit down 25% y/y, operating profit down 41% y/y, and normalised profit down 42% y/y. Life is tough.
Apart from the pressure point resulting from declining CPO prices (management themselves said prices have been down by around 30%), high production costs are currently an issue.
The typical cost components include fertilisers and agrochemicals, plantation maintenance, labour, diesel, security, and the likes.
Gross margin in Q3 2026 was 38%, way down from 80% levels in recent quarters.
Generally, it was predicted that the oil palm guys were gonna be under pressure in 2026. These guys really fed fat in the past three to four years, and I hope investors did not capitalise on the exceptional profitability in those years as though it was sustainable.

Subject: Invitation to GreenTickerTales X Space — “Which Political Party Is Best for the Nigerian Stock Market?”
Dear Distinguished Representative,
Warm greetings from GreenTickerTales — The Parliament of the Nigerian Stock Market.
We are pleased to invite you to represent your political party at our upcoming X Space, titled “Which Political Party Is Best for the Nigerian Stock Market?”, scheduled for Sunday, 8 November 2026, at 5:00 PM Nigerian time (WAT).
GreenTickerTales is a non-political investor-education and research community. Our primary purpose is to provide quality information and research that helps Nigerians from all walks of life achieve financial independence through the capital market. While we ordinarily remain non-partisan, we recognise that Nigeria’s socio-political environment, policy choices, and governance decisions strongly shape the performance, confidence, and future of the Nigerian stock market.
As your party is contesting the 2027 Nigerian presidential election, we would be honoured to host a representative who can present your party’s vision for the Nigerian capital market and explain what Nigerians stand to gain if your party wins the election
.
We would appreciate your response to the following key questions:
•What concrete benefits will ordinary Nigerians derive from the stock market under your party’s government?
•What is your party’s plan to address the key challenges facing the Nigerian stock market?
•How will your party deepen financial inclusion and encourage more Nigerians to participate in the market?
•What reforms will your party pursue to make the market more transparent, credible, and attractive to local and foreign investors?
•How will your party make it easier for Nigerians in the diaspora to invest confidently in the Nigerian capital market?
This will be a respectful, solution-focused conversation before a highly engaged community of Nigerian investors, market participants, analysts, and members of the diaspora. It is an important opportunity to speak directly to the investing public and present your party’s capital-market agenda.
Please save the date: 8 November 2026, at 5:00 PM Nigerian time (WAT). Kindly confirm your party’s participation and the name of your representative by contacting us at @greentickertale
We look forward to welcoming you and to making this a historic conversation for the Nigerian investing community.
Please follow @greentickertale for further updates on this upcoming event.
Warm regards,
The GreenTickerTales Team

Dear @ngxgrp,
I think it is quite disappointing that the Corporate Disclosures page on your website has remained unresponsive for over three months.
This issue has been raised repeatedly by market participants. About two months ago, the Group CEO @TemiPopoola_, indicated that the problem had been resolved. Unfortunately, the situation remains unchanged.
Companies have until the end of this week to file their Q3 2026 financial reports, yet investors are being forced to rely on the website's mobile version to access these disclosures. This is unnecessarily cumbersome, particularly for those who need to download, review and analyse financial reports.
Corporate disclosures are fundamental to market transparency, information accessibility and investor confidence. Ensuring that investors can access them seamlessly should be one of the Exchange's most basic responsibilities.
Is this really such a difficult technical issue that it requires more than an entire quarter to resolve?
I believe investors deserve better. At the very least, the NGX should provide a clear explanation for the prolonged disruption and a definite timeline for resolving it.
This is simply not good enough for an Exchange of NGX's standing.

It’s incredibly difficult to educate Nigerians on finance.
Most just want the money. They don’t want the knowledge, the process, or the discipline it takes to build lasting wealth.
They want the gains without understanding what produces them.
