And here I was thinking Rob would outright remove comments or at least DMs after the Ross Bauman situation happened. Instead here we are. I sure am glad our active response team (who cant do anything about DMs as of now, BTW) has been halved. Great job.

As a previous Elder I can fully attest this being a genuinely awful thing to add considering the state of in-game moderation previously. I personally struggle to trust Rob that he made tools or any sort of Moderation good enough to support this and this has to be critized.

I'm not saying there is a 0% chance that Rob didn't account for this and made proper tools for this, but considering the state of tools previously that gives me A LOT of doubt of it being in any way a good Idea. This needs to be VERY carefully considered at minimum.

Important to note: The current Moderators are doing a great job and do as much as they can but aren't nearly enough for a game of this size and they shouldn't be blamed - they are trying their best and all the criticism should ABSOLUTELY only go onto Rob if anything.

If I'm entirely honest, its insane how this entire discourse wouldn't be happening if Rob either didn't introduce two separate ship physics or at the very least give people the option to choose which one they prefer for post 2.2 levels (as a level option like CBS)

I personally prefer the new ship physics because they feel natural for me but its unfortunate that it will alienate people from levels they might've otherwise tried, I spend a few hours earlier trying to make a 2.1 physics toggle but its unfortunately EXTREMELY difficult to do

I might try more later and get a somewhat accurate recreation of 2.1 ship physics as a trigger setup/toggle (or vice versa if that is easier) and see if I can implement it properly because it would be by far the best option across the board for everyone in the current day IMO
