Am I the only one who thinks that it's morally corrupt that the American Cancer Society accepted a $1.9 mil donation from Coca-Cola, when the overconsumption of sugar (in drinks like Coke) leads to obesity, which is a large risk factor for developing cancer?

1973 Atkins had to appear at a Senate Hearing. Crime: Saying #diabetes is result of excess sugars & grains & that this condition could be reversed with high(er) fat, moderate protein, sugar/grain restricted diet. Atkins prevailed but the vacuous demonization never stopped

I’ve been reading coverage of new study that a “keto-like” diet is associated with increased heart disease; as far as I’m aware the paper isn’t published but… ❌ not keto (BHB 0.1) 🤨 low-carb group had higher BMI 🇺🇸 1/5 Americans is low carb/keto (ya, right! TY for the 🤭 )
