Landscaping is progressing around the Querétaro Mexico Temple, where young palm trees, shrubs, and ground cover are being planted throughout the grounds. Paved walkways and patterned hardscape create a network of paths leading to the temple entrance, while workers continue finishing the landscaped beds and surrounding pedestrian areas. Decorative black lamp posts and low stone borders define the walkways and planting areas, bringing the grounds closer to completion. The temple's white exterior stands prominently against the surrounding urban skyline. “First, we are children of a loving Heavenly Father. Latter-day Saints know that we “once lived with Heavenly Father, who knows everything and loves everyone.” We are His children. Heavenly Father knows us personally. This is your most important identity. “He wants you to be like Him! He gave you a body, abilities, and spiritual gifts. He wants you and all of His children to discover and develop these gifts. He gave us a plan to help us be happy and bless others.” Having this knowledge makes us stronger. This knowledge also makes us kinder to others, knowing that everyone around us is our brother or sister.”

Let us all press on in the work of the Lord,
That when life is o’er we may gain a reward;
In the fight for right let us wield a sword,
The mighty sword of truth.

When compared with the opposite host in view;
But an unseen pow’r will aid me and you
In the glorious cause of truth.

In the days of trial his Saints he will cheer,
And prosper the cause of truth.

“your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
My grandpa loved quoting this one :)

"But make no mistake about it, brothers and sisters; in the months and years ahead, events will require of each member that he or she decide whether or not he or she will follow the First Presidency.
Members will find it more difficult to halt longer between two opinions (see 1 Kings 18:21).
President Marion G. Romney said, many years ago, that he had “NEVER hesitated to follow the counsel of the Authorities of the Church even though it crossed my social, professional, or political life” (CR, April 1941, p. 123).
This is a hard doctrine, but it is a particularly vital doctrine in a society which is becoming more wicked.
In short, brothers and sisters, not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ includes not being ashamed of the prophets of Jesus Christ.

At the Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple, additional curbing has been poured to define the parking areas on the south and east sides of the building, while forms are being prepared for an oval-shaped hardscape feature. In the garden spaces, landscape fabric is being laid in preparation for a mix of shrubs and perennial plantings. Along the southeast corner of the third floor, intricate stonework around the arched windows is nearing completion, adding definition to this prominent section of the building. Yet, God knew Jeremiah and ordained him before he was conceived.
It seems pretty clear to me.
"When God laid the foundations of the earth, all the sons of God shouted for joy..." , Job 38:4–7.
"The spirit shall return unto God who gave it...", Eccl. 12:7. (Can't return to where you haven't been.)
"We are all his offspring..." , Acts 17:28.
"God chose us before the foundation of the world...", Eph. 1:3–4.
"We are to be in subjection to the Father of spirits...", Heb. 12:9.

💧 90 BILLION GALLONS OF WATER! That’s approximately how much water Lake Powell has gained with a 5-foot rise over the last few days!
One major October storm can make a HUGE difference. All that rain and runoff has given Lake Powell a significant boost, adding roughly 275,000 acre-feet of water.
But there’s another side to this story. The San Juan River is experiencing dangerous, potentially catastrophic flooding, with major impacts across southeastern Utah. That flooding is a serious threat to communities, roads and property.
At the same time, all that water moving through the San Juan River will continue flowing downstream toward Lake Powell, adding even more water to the reservoir as the runoff continues.
It’s a reminder of just how powerful these storms can be. We desperately need the water, but flooding like this comes with a devastating cost.
Lake Powell is still well below full pool, and we have a long way to go to recover from years of water shortages.
We’ll take every drop we can get, but first and foremost, we need everyone in the flooded areas to stay safe. 🙏
