Companies D and E travel update: We are making good time and it’s looking like we will be back in Dunbar around 9.15pm.
Companies D and E have just left Wetherby. Our ETA is 9.30-9.45. We will keep you updated if there are any changes.
Companies D and E are now approaching the White Cliffs of Dover. It’s a beautiful day, the windows are just dirty! 😁
B Company - you did yourselves, your parents and your school proud this week. Looking forward to a reunion soon. But for now, sleep!!! 💤💤💤💤💤
Just exceptional young people thinking about others. Thank you so much to Sam, Cara, Tristan, and Drew for their leadership in our ceremony. Wonderful 😊
Wonderful day of respectful remembrance with Company D. Each and every one of them respectful, supportive and a pleasure to accompany on this experience. Superb.

A very proud and emotional moment watching @dunbar_grammar pupils laying wreaths at The Menin Gate. A perfect way to end our time in Belgium on our @dgsbattlefields trip.
Company A, B and C departed Washington Services and en route to DGS. ETA just before 10pm - will update if this changes 😊
So proud of our DGS pupils at the Menin Gate ceremony and then at our own private wreath laying. Massive well done to Company E’s Alistair, Gregor, Ava, Freya, Maresia and our very own Rowan Armatage (ex Dunbar pupil and Dunbar Rugby Development Officer) for representing DGS
Company A, B and C just departing Wetherby Services. One more (very brief) stop between here and DGS. ETA to follow!
Fantastic final day of Battlefields for Company E. Fantastic reading of “In Flanders Fields” from Indi, setting Poppies for unknown soldiers, Elsa finding her Great-great Uncle’s name at Tynecot and finally a visit to Langemark. Getting ready to now visit Menin Gate🇧🇪
With the journey home underway, Company B are in high spirits after a fantastic time away. Here are some group pictures we haven’t yet shared from throughout the week!
