Russian ballistic missiles struck the grounds of a university in Kyiv and the area around it – effectively the campus, Kyoto Park, the area near a metro station, and residential buildings. The exact number of casualties is not yet known. But tragically, there are victims. There are people injured. Rescue operations are underway. There is extensive damage, and there are also reports that people may be trapped under the rubble. All emergency services are at the scene and doing their work – saving lives. The missiles hit very crowded areas, and there is not a single military facility nearby. This was a strike directly on the city, on its infrastructure. Unfortunately, there may be more strikes coming. The attack with “shaheds” is also continuing – against Kyiv and our other cities and communities.
And it is precisely under such circumstances, when the threat is constant, when strikes can come at any moment and target cities and villages directly, that artificial delays in providing air defense to Ukraine help terror. It is important that political agreements be implemented promptly at the team level. It is important that our partners understand that Ukraine needs the proper tools to destroy Russian ballistic missile launchers. This would be the most effective way to save lives. It is important that the world sees that Russia is showing nothing but a desire to kill and continue waging war. Ukraine must not be left to face this alone, and it is solely Russia’s fault that the war is still going on and people are still dying. Please take care of yourselves. All partners should stand with Ukraine – with the protection of lives.

I’m sorry, but I just can’t get Steve Witkoff’s groveling before Putin out of my head.
“You are a humanitarian man,” he told him.
And if my grandmother had wheels, she’d be a bicycle—you moron.
Imagine:
Just another day in the U.S. You’ve dropped your son or daughter off at daycare and headed to work, when suddenly you get a phone call.
This happened while your child was sleeping in the little crib at the daycare center where you’d left them.
The gates of hell are wide open... for some.

🔥 Lady Bavovna paid a visit to Voronezh tonight.
The locals seem surprisingly thrilled.
Turn your sound on, because this clip is particularly interesting: it starts with what you might expect to hear from someone who listens to Russian propaganda, but then reveals how they really feel.
Just FYI: whenever Voronezh gets hit by Ukrainian ‘sanctions,’ it’s particularly ironic because, in Russia, it’s long been considered a city that Russia would be more than happy to sacrifice.
Here’s an old Russian joke about Voronezh and why Russia would never nuke the EU or the US:
One general says to another, “Let’s strike Miami.”
“I can’t, my wife and daughter live there.”
“Then maybe London?”
“No, my grandchildren study there.”
“So where are we supposed to strike?” The second general shrugs.
“Somewhere our family members don’t live.”
“Voronezh, then?”

Ukraine is a country of peace. And we truly respect the fact that our partners want to help bring this war to an end. We support every such effort. When the Americans asked us to pause strikes on Moscow and St. Petersburg on August 25, 26, and 27, we observed that pause. There were no strikes on Russia, while strikes on Ukraine continued. When another global power asked us to pause strikes in the direction of Vladivostok for a specified period of time, we agreed to ensure that as well. New meetings in Moscow are now being prepared, and we will take that into account.
We always support every step toward peace – every step to prevent Russia from making this war endless. The war needs to end, and leaders are right to tell Putin this. So, for the sake of diplomacy and negotiations, whenever our partners approach us about this, we will ensure that Russian skies are cleared of drones for specified periods of time and along specified routes. Safety will return to Russia’s skies when there is real movement toward peace. For now, the skies over Russia are for drones – not for civilian aviation.
