Lean in close, because the story of what happened on the chilly night of October 24, 1976, in Chicago is the kind of real-life nightmare that makes you glad we have a fire burning right now. Imagine the scene: It’s late autumn. The wind coming off Lake Michigan is bone-chilling, and the streetlights on Clark Street are casting long, dancing shadows. Two teenage friends, 14-year-old Michael Marino and 16-year-old Kenneth Parker, are just doing what kids that age do—hanging out, laughing, looking for something to pass the time on a weekend night. They have no idea that a monster is actively prowling the very same streets. Cruising through the neon glow of the city is a large, unassuming car. At the wheel is a heavy-set, well-known local businessman. He’s a guy who throws neighborhood block parties, works in politics, and even dresses up as a clown to entertain sick children at hospitals. His name is John Wayne Gacy. But underneath that friendly, civic-minded mask is a calculated predator. Gacy spots the two boys. He pulls over, rolling down his window. He doesn't look scary; he looks like someone's uncle. He strikes up a conversation, oozing charm and authority. He offers them a ride, maybe promises them a quick way to make a few bucks doing construction work, or perhaps offers them a drink. Eager for an adventure and trusting this seemingly harmless adult, Michael and Kenneth step off the cold sidewalk and climb into the warmth of the car. The doors click shut. That is the exact moment the trap snaps shut. Gacy drives them away from the bright city lights, out into the quiet, dark suburb of Norwood Park Township. He pulls up to his brick ranch house on Summerdale Avenue. Inside, the house looks normal enough, but there is an underlying, faint, sickening odor in the air that Gacy always excuses away as a moisture or plumbing issue. Once the boys are inside, Gacy brings out a pair of handcuffs. He smiles, pitching it as a trick. He shows them how a person can magically escape from them if they know the secret. He convinces one of the boys to let him put the cuffs on to demonstrate. The metal clicks into place around the teenager's wrists. Suddenly, the friendly neighbor vanishes. Gacy’s eyes go cold. He reveals the terrible truth: there is no magic trick. The boys are trapped. What followed over the next few hours inside that house is the stuff of pure horror. Gacy subjected the terrified teenagers to a brutal, agonizing ordeal of physical torture. They were completely helpless, trapped in a suburban living room while the rest of the world slept soundly outside. When Gacy was finally done playing his sadistic games, he brought out a piece of rope and a wooden stick, fashioning a crude garrote. One by one, he tightened the cord around their necks, cutting off their breath until the room went completely still. But the horror didn't stop with their deaths. Gacy walked over to a small closet, opened a hatch in the floor, and dropped down into the dark, damp, claustrophobic crawl space beneath his house. In the pitch black, surrounded by the horrific stench of his previous victims, Gacy dragged the bodies of Michael and Kenneth into the dirt and buried them side by side. For two years, their families searched, hoped, and prayed, completely unaware that the boys were resting in the shadows beneath a madman's floorboards. It wasn't until December 1978, when police finally excavated that horrific crawl space, that Michael and Kenneth were finally brought out of the dark. Tomorrow, 2 more #BBNFT Phase Two holders will be eliminated. They will also each be receiving $150 in ETH.

fun fact: This is what we know. The larger surprise is what we don’t know and it’s already happening.
So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.

The final torture of the "Tool Box Killers" took place on October 22, 1979. It sounds like a fictional slasher movie or a terrifying cautionary campfire tale: two men driving a custom GMC van around California, picking up hitchhikers only to torture them using household tools like hammers, pliers, and ice picks. Unfortunately, this urban legend was a gruesome reality. Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris—known as the "Tool Box Killers"—claimed their fifth and final victim, 16-year-old Shirley Lynette Ledford, on October 22, 1979. Shirley Ledford, 16, was hitchhiking home from a party in the early morning hours in Burbank, California. She was picked up by Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris in their customized GMC van, which they had chillingly nicknamed "Murder Mac." The vehicle was a rolling torture chamber, retrofitted with blacked-out windows, soundproofing materials, and a custom-built partition to trap victims in the back. Over the next several hours, the killers subjected Ledford to unspeakable torture using ordinary household tools: pliers, ice picks, coat hangers, and a sledgehammer. Bittaker used a portable cassette recorder to document the entire ordeal, talking to Ledford and forcing her to answer questions while recording her screams. Afterward, they strangled her with a coat hanger and dumped her nude body on the front lawn of a suburban home in Westlake Village to be found by the homeowners. The audio recording was so uniquely horrific that it was later used to train FBI profilers to understand the extremes of human sadism, and jurors at their trial openly wept and vomited from the audio alone. Tomorrow, 5 #BBNFT Phase Two holders will be eliminated from the remaining 15 Days of Fright events. They will also be walking away with $75 in ETH.

A lingering urban legend in Boulder County, Colorado, traces its roots directly to a burial in the Lafayette Cemetery. A Romanian coal miner named Teodor Glava died during the height of the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic and was buried on October 21, 1918. Following his burial, bizarre rumors spread through the town that Glava was actually a vampire. Local superstition grew so intense that townsfolk eventually claimed a wooden stake was driven through his heart. A strange juniper tree and a wild rose bush grew directly out of the center of his gravesite, wrapping around the headstone—which locals claimed grew directly from the wooden stake. For decades, teenagers and ghost hunters have visited the grave on October nights, reporting sightings of a tall, dark figure with glowing red eyes standing near the juniper tree. Tomorrow, all eyes are upon those who drifted into the cemetery. 4 @bearandbullnft Phase Two holders will be bitten and removed from the remaining events. They will also walk away with $100 in ETH a piece. Never to return to this place on Earth but cursed to walk in the afterlife half dead, and half alive.

Their main collections are on ETH, they have their own chain, and now their new card packs are on SOL. Then MFers wonder why approvals are left open everywhere and why people make mistakes. Keep it simple.

As of this moment. you have 24 hours to get in on the action. All @bearandbullnft Phase Two holders have access to the 2 ETH pot (plus) to be used for the 15 days of Fright events. At this time tomorrow, the addys on the contract will be locked and not be changed moving forward. Reminder, 19 addys will be eliminated in 24 hours. Don't bother moving things, it won't matter.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned after spending many years in the crypto space, it’s that no matter what happens, no matter how big or small, everyone forgets about it in approximately 48 hours
