I think one thing people sometimes forget about building in Web3 is that knowing how to code is only one part of the journey.
You still need to understand what you’re building, how to communicate it, and why anyone should care about it.
That was one of the things that stood out to me from Road to Colosseum, a 4-week hybrid training track organised by @superteamvn to help builders prepare for Colosseum.
From the sessions to the speakers and practical activities, there was a lot to take away.
Here’s my little recap ↓ ↓

Beyond the talks, the coding and practical activities were another important part of the experience.
For me, learning becomes more useful when you get to apply it yourself. You can listen to someone explain a concept and feel like you understand it, but sitting down to work through it is a different experience entirely.
You run into things you didn’t expect, you make mistakes, and sometimes you have to go back and figure out what went wrong.
That’s part of the process.
My biggest takeaway from the whole experience is that building isn’t just about writing code or having a good idea. It’s also about learning to communicate, solve problems, take feedback, and keep improving what you’re working on.
There’s always something new to learn.

Big thanks to @superteamvn for putting Road to Colosseum together, and to everyone who made the sessions and activities possible.
Special thanks to namshik (@namshik), Lynn (@LynnWWins), and Jeffrey Tchui (@jtchui_abroad) for sharing their insights.
I appreciate the knowledge, the different perspectives, and the reminders that building something meaningful takes more than just having the technical skills.
Still learning, still building, and hopefully putting these lessons to good use.

A great summit is not only about the stage, the venue or the crowd.
It’s about the people who take the time to share what they’ve learned, challenge existing ideas and give builders something new to think about.
Solana Summit Canada brought together a diverse group of voices, and some of the conversations were too good to let them disappear after the event.
Here are some of the 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗦 who made the summit what it was ↓↓

Noot @0x_noot from Rosentica and Frisk @friskk from Collector Crypt explored a completely different side of the ecosystem:
𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦.
Their discussion positioned collectibles as a potential “Trojan horse” for bringing more people into the token economy.
And the examples made the idea easy to understand.
From something as familiar as Pikachu to luxury items like Birkin bags, ownership, provenance and communities around collectibles can become much more interesting when they are represented digitally and connected to onchain infrastructure.
The bigger idea is simple:
People may not enter Web3 because they care about blockchain.
They may enter because they care about something they already love.

What I like about these conversations is how different they are.
Careers, Marketing, Finance, Culture, Commodities, Collectibles.
Yet they all point toward the same thing:
𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗔 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗧 𝗕𝗬 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗧𝗬𝗣𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡.
It takes developers, marketers, founders, artists, financial experts, community builders and people willing to experiment with completely new ideas.
That diversity of perspectives is part of what made Solana Summit Canada interesting.
And these seven speakers were only a small part of the conversations happening throughout the event.
