This is so disingenuous. You don't have to like him but the "corruption scandals" were pushed by an Israel-backed fascist organisation, Sánchez had his hands tied by opposition blocs, yet the economy is booming, he steered through Covid, he's backed Gaza, he's decarbonised etc.,
A snapshot of collapse and total disintegration. I just hope we see MASSIVE CHANGES on November 29, and that the people defending this mess finally wake up instead of coming out with excuses like “without Pedro, we're nothing”, “it was lawfare”, “it was the media campaign”, and so on.
NO. TOTAL RENEWAL.
Honestly, it's staggering that these people fail to understand that massive corruption scandals, three years without a budget or major legislation, two railway accidents, a housing crisis... all of these things cost votes. And the people who have lost cannot be the ones leading the recovery.

For anyone who cares, this is a picture of Gaza now.
We are drowning in our tents💔

I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points.

I have just received my last edition of the @novaya_gazeta newsletter. We are losing a venerable media institution and its courageous investigations. It's a very sad day for European journalism.
I hope the editors and staff all keep safe. 🙁
Most of the Ukrainians our region took in as refugees speak Russian.
Proud to announce that students in England will be able to study Ukrainian at GCSE.
It’s a chance for pupils to explore Ukraine’s rich culture and history and, for the Ukrainian community to remain connected to their heritage.
This is another step in our enduring support for Ukraine as part of the 100 Year Partnership 🇺🇦🇬🇧
The response: "should politely acknowledge Ramsay's concerns and move on. There's no need to rise to provocation..[…] It will only help the right wing media if people call for him to be expelled or worse, as they will report on the cruel violence of the Green hard-left."
Replying to @meadwaj
She got absolutely everything she wanted from that interview. It's naive in the extreme to believe that Kuensberg & the BBC are engaged in a disinterested exercise in discovering the truth. They are constructing a truth that sustains the status quo. Stategically, the Greens should be using high-profile interviews like this to disrupt, expose, question and unsettle the status quo; to express and highlight the multiple contradictions of our absurd moment. This interview did the opposite, casting rupture as "divisive" and anathema to "core" Green values, and giving the manufacturers of the status quo tools to undermine a new politics.
Ramsay was either foolish or disingenuous if he believed it was a neutral forum to begin a discussion, as his answers gave them everything they needed to shout about entryism, Polanksi's "divisive politics", hard-left scaremongering and the threat of a future leadership challenge. He either knew what he was doing or he is a staggering naif. Either way, unless his intention is to beat down the membership through media pressure, this intervention will do nothing to help the Party navigate a tough moment, and only helps those forces that want to put the Greens back in their box. It means the Greens are having an internal fight online today instead of preparing to raise hell about Mahmood's new immigration plans today.
My sense, btw, is that those who are sympathetic to Polanski should politely acknowledge Ramsay's concerns and move on. There's no need to rise to provocation..This isn't the Labour Party. There isn't a bureaucracy and nevertheless structure that means he can do anything more than carp. It will only help the right wing media if people call for him to be expelled or worse, as they will report on the cruel violence of the Green hard-left.
Zac Polanski received 84.1% of the leadership votes.
Adrian Ramsay received 15.3% 🤦🏻♀️
It wasn't meant to be an interview, it was a political performance.

Millions of pounds meant for patient care are being siphoned away into the pockets of private equity investors.
They’re draining vital funds from public hospitals and leaving our health service weaker in the long run.

I can't decide if @matthew_weaver is just plain ignorant or chasing clicks. What kind of idiocy to only mention Malm's 'How to blow up a pipeline' book (because Malm is appearing alongside Huda Ammari) without: a) mentioning any of the others; b) grasping its subject matter. 🤦🏻♀️
What in the name of Zeus has @ukhomeoffice done by blocking Andreas Malm, one of the foremost academic climate experts in the world, from visiting the UK? This is extraordinary behaviour.

This tells you everything. There's huge investment both politically and financially in this war. It is not going to be relinquished very easily.
How can anyone write for Unherd?
The owners are backers of the far-right. In between a variable range of writing, Unherd publishes some extremely unsavoury people. I'm not talking about 'conservative' writers - I'm referring to blatantly far-right and/or backed by big fossil.
The exit polls are out, and the projections are as expected: the Eisenkot-led opposition bloc can depose Netanyahu by forming a minority government supported by Arab parties who are willing to play this role — but most of the bloc’s leaders have ruled this out👇
I followed Israel’s election campaign so you don’t have to.
Bottom line: Rather than win with the help of Palestinian parties, the anti-Netanyahu bloc is preparing to lose without them.
