Another example of @SpacefastHQ being out of this world!
I bought a camera last week and now f.camera is my photo album! 📷 Every @SpacefastHQ space is a @WordPress site. Grok @Bot uploads photos from my camera or iPhone! 🤯 I love the theme my agent built. Post-its, hidden postcards, a shutter animation! 👇

Spacefast creator here. We are trying very hard to discover new ways to build with WordPress. We are calling that project Zero, and Spacefast is the first place with support for it. Most of this vision is not very visible yet, because we don’t want to make a big noise before we know where it’s going. As a community and as a project, we need to try new things and see if they work out and we can’t be stuck in our ways. More and more people will build on the web and they all deserve to build and publish on the web with the same ease and freedom WordPress gave all of us for years. WordPress is core to everything we are doing at Automattic and Spacefast, and just because we are trying out new ideas doesn’t make it less defendable. If it wasn’t defendable, we wouldn’t be building on it. Everything related to WordPress and the Spacefast runtime will be open source and well documented, and will run elsewhere. No vendor lock-in, ever. Not every host will be supported but everyone will be free to add support. For context, we use a lot of TypeScript and Rust in the flavor of WordPress we are building, and have a higher PHP version requirement. It’s not yet reached a stage where I am comfortable bragging about it. We are constantly experimenting every day. I don’t know if this take will be successful, I would be happy if it inspires people to take WordPress into new, exciting places. How software is built is changing, and WordPress doesn’t seem to be the best fit for some portion of how people build today and new sites coming online. CMS ecosystem in general is experiencing this and it’s not a WordPress problem. We need to explore. WordPress isn’t just a thing, it’s a movement, it’s a collection of ideals, it’s a community. Shape of the thing might evolve, doesn’t make it less WordPress.
How are we supposed to defend and recommend WordPress when “leadership” can’t.

If you are a Framer customer who feels like you are paying too much, get in touch. We’ll help you move to WordPress or Astro, and host you on WordPress dot com or Pressable.
Never ever using @framer again in my life We exceeded the bandwidth allowed one month, we took action to fix it but it turns out we didn't fix the biggest source of the issue and exceeded another consecutive month....fair enough, we should pay for the extra bandwidth we consumed, more than happy to do that. However, forcing me to buy 3x additional bandwidth on a yearly basis to access my site ($1621) and publish edits is the most anti creator concept. Enterprises, sure, def not for creators. Just because my bandwidth spiked 1-2 months doesnt mean its gonna continue that way for the next 12 months. Just charge me for what I overused. Always loved framer, still do, and spent hours using their products and loved every second of it. This is not a hate tweet, its just my honest opinion

We had a soft launch of @SpacefastHQ yesterday before our board meeting, @batuhan (and now a team!) have been cooking what I think is the future of @WordPress and AI. You don't have to know or think WordPress, but this leverages wp.cloud to give you a Real Database, auth, uploads, email, @akismet / @automattic spam protection, and soon stats. The architecture is amazing I'd actually love to talk to @Lovable et al see if we can host things for them for less than they spend now. Datacenter space and components are getting pricey... So we might have to limit signups to prioritize our @WordPressVIP customers but get in while you can!
so yesterday @batuhan gave me access to @SpacefastHQ and i got to play with the product, even transferred a project from cloudflare. actually, claude code did it super seamless and agent friendly experience i like cloudflare but its still too much for non dev vibe coders like me. spacefast just feels friendlier, better ui, better control, agent friendly from the ground up

Some of the most profound changes I've ever witnessed are the days and weeks after someone finally 'gets' AI. It's such a truly wonderful technology in so many ways and I really enjoy just how transformative it can be to people's lives. But there's one way in particular that I find it unique: _Where every other technology has required you to learn it, AI really can meet you where you are._ The unlock is in many ways just showing people they don't need to learn it. Just to start using it. I wanted to give Woo merchants some simple 1, 2, 3 guidance on how to start. Not how to learn AI as much as to learn the confidence to start using it and to give them a meaningful reward in terms of StoreOps. So if you know a Woo merchant who wants an easy way to start using AI to help them succeed, please point them at this post, and to me if they want to just chat; I'd love to help folks get up and running. Taking a step back, AI is not a panacea for @WordPress, or @WooCommerce . There's still plenty to fix and improve. But right now my mission at @Automattic is to democratise publishing and commerce expertise: to massively reduce the cost, risk and time it takes to run your own software stack.

Going forward, everything being built on WordPress needs to be fully manageable in three layers- users in the admin, agencies via git/code, agents operating via CLI/MCP/code/etc. All three layers, full parity + guardrails, no exceptions.

Same pattern but for your life: - PARA structured PKM - An instance per project/area - An overlord instance - Discord channel mapping to instances
Yes each of my sites is a Termius server with this kind of start command cd /srv/http/hotelist.com && tm tm is a script made by Claude Code which puts it in a tmux session tied to the project name (from its folder) That means I always log back into my tmux session for each project! My big sites like Photo AI are on their own VPS, one site per VPS, but the rest is on one VPS, all on Hetzner btw, so anyway I don't even notice this, it's just all tabs in Termius If my phone disconnect I just reconnect and am back where I was Every tmux session has Claude Code open
