All the AI shit is so beyond scary to me. In BLAME! by Tsutomu Nihei, we see a world so far in the future that the autonomous robots who once helped to build the world can no longer be stopped because humanity has lost the coding language necessary to communicate with them.
In Mars Express by Jérémie Périn, AI eventually gains true consciousness, and the hive mind sends all robots into a hard drive that floats through space. But the looming threat is essentially an external brain that lives in a tube — its sole purpose is to be a computer.
In Pantheon by Ken Liu and Craig Silverstein, we see a world bringing digitized consciousness to the market. It eventually leads to UBI because human labor loses monetary value. But at what cost? The complete loss of the physical world? An unrecognizable blur between the two
The upper classes have a “netsphere” - a virtual reality internet realm. But everyone else other than the richest of the rich live in a decaying world run by robots they can’t even interact with in a meaningful way. And the only way to enter the net is with a specific gene.
Drunk as shit with my family and playing darts. I am showing them Steve McQueen by Prefab Sprout and my mom says it reminds her of when she was young. Life is good man. Overall. Truly. Just hit a real bullseye man.
Just discovered this @rubyyacht artefact at a thrift store — any ideas about its origins?

What will it take to get the mega billionaire producers of the world to realize people don’t want this type of stuff anymore? Billionaires, please give 1000 20-30 year olds 1 million dollars to make cool shit and save the industry you’re seemingly trying to kill.
“Masters of the Universe” debuted with a soft $29.3 million in North America.
It’s a slow start for a movie that cost nearly $200 million to produce, not including the marketing budget. It’ll require substantial staying power to justify its price tag, considering that theater owners get to keep roughly 50% of ticket sales. variety.com/2026/film/box-of…
Hey @playtowinmtg ! Big fan over here. I wrote some weekend cEDH satire — I think y’all might get a laugh out of it.
