Therefore, putting his faith first literally means obeying the Islamic injunction to be a just, honest, and peaceful citizen. He will respect the laws of the land, just like British Muslims respect the laws of the UK while still holding Islam supreme in their hearts. Every true believer places the Creator above man-made borders. A genuine Christian will confidently tell you that God comes before Nigeria. But when it comes to what you believe in your heart, how you pray, and how you manage your family, a non-Muslim's right to practice their religion must be protected without any forced interference. If you truly understand this, you will realize that Sarkin living in the UK simply means he conducts his personal way of life in line with Islamic principles, while simultaneously obeying UK public laws—because Islam strictly commands him to honor the laws and agreements of his host country.
