Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.
One of the best nights! 🫡 @DangeRussWilson

Justin Verlander's ending was one for the ages. Had to add the moneyball music, because how in the heck can you not be romantic about baseball after something like that?
A few months ago, I had the surreal opportunity to direct one of my childhood icons, Rick Rizzs.
Almost immediately after we wrapped, the news came out that this would be his 41st and final season with the Mariners. It made the experience mean that much more.
I grew up listening to Rick on countless car rides, ferry rides and summer nights. His voice is attached to so many of my memories of Mariners baseball.
So as he heads into his final weekend behind the mic, I just wanted to say thank you.
For the calls. For the memories. And for being such a steady, familiar voice for all of us M’s fans.
Seattle baseball just won’t sound the same. 💙⚾️
Thank you, Rick!!

#Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald says he called Broncos HC Sean Payton to apologize after his Spygate story went public (when it was meant to remain private):
“It’s a lesson learned. … I’m responsible for what I say.”
THIS
Lately as the feeling of finality for this baseball season sets in, I’ve been spending more time listening to Rick Rizzs. Despite how gut wrenching this season has been, he called today’s game as if it was game 7 of the World Series. 41 years with the Mariners and he was as giddy as he could possibly be describing the last out. He’s an absolute treasure.
I hope you can spend these last few games listening to him because you deserve it, and so does he.

The Reds have placed Eugenio Suarez on waivers, per @Ken_Rosenthal
Teams have 48 hours to claim Suarez, who is owed just under $3 million for the remainder of the season
Been sitting on this one for a while… but after THREE homers last night, today felt like a pretty good day to finally share it. 😂💣💣💣
