Happy to share that South Western Railway @SWRRLY has approved a Deepawali Special train connecting Mangaluru and Bengaluru to cater to the additional passenger rush during the festive season.
Train Nos. 06591/06592 will operate on 6th and 8th November respectively, providing additional connectivity and convenience to passengers travelling during this festive season.

VB day train that can’t return same day will also be a disaster.
No one wants a 13 hour sitting journey.
The MAQ - MAO VB used to be 4.5-5.5 hour journey. Costed around 2000/-.
Wasn’t full.
The new proposal from YPR to MAJN-MAO is 13 hours. A 1.15 hour flight from BLR to GoI is 3300 on Indigo. Maybe cheaper on other platforms. Is the train going to cost less than that?
Meanwhile BLR-IXE is 3rd busiest intra state flight route in the country with at least 8-10 daily full flights and no solution for bandwidth on this.

Now that Railways has successfully ignored numerous requests to operate the Vande Bharat via MAQ, kindly at least consider extending the Gomateshwara Express (16575/76) to MAQ. With a platform available now, this opportunity should not be missed.
