No one is against any of this stuff, we're simply acknowledging that it's a double-edged sword. *That's* what makes us anti-AI.
- While making knowledge more accessible, it also encourages laziness, disincentivizes learning and makes it impossible to compete as a skilled individual without money or power.
- While curing disease, it can also be used to create terrifying new viruses.
- While helping national defense, it can also be used to build more powerful, offensive weapons.
AI is what you make of it, essentially. If it was all good stuff, then OBVIOUSLY I'd be all for it. But given the selfish, envious, destructive nature of humanity, it would be silly to assume that this powerful technology will only do good things for us. Just because *you* want to use it as a helpful tool doesn't mean that's all it stands for.
Lol I forgot it was Bonfire Night last night until I heard fireworks outside. And even then, I couldn't be bothered to go outside and see them. What a way to spend an iconic day in the British calendar, amiright?
