Controversial thought of the day: If you have been called to the role of Pastor, you should not be first and foremost an ‘organizational leader.’ Organization serves the purposes of pastoring, (1 Pet. 5:1-3, Tit. 1:5-9: 1/2

Microrant coming: for all those using "Triangle" language in conflict resolution & how bad they are, I agree if power dynamics are flat, but they almost never are. Asking a subordinate to go to a superior as if he/she was an equal is a recipe for abuse. Matt. 18 does not apply.

Some powerful words from Paul David Tripp about deconstruction. We need to take these journeys more seriously: “We should understand the trauma of these experiences. But I want to say something else. We should all be deconstructing our faith. We better do it.

you are willing to deconstruct something you’ve given your life to. I mean that in the positive sense. I’m not talking about apostasy here. But willing to step back and say ‘where do we just need to take this apart?,’ abandon our loyalty, stand with courage and say
