An excellent book that breaks down drafts of the Declaration, who wrote what and why. Confronts Jefferson being a slave owner even as he argues that slavery violates the “most sacred rights of life & liberty.”

I’m so excited to read this collection. Okwudili’s writing is so translucent and emotional.
