We had a great time partnering with @Purina and @RedRoverOrg to raise crucial awareness for the #PurpleLeashProject! With your help, over $4500 was donated to help provide a safe space and necessary resources for survivors of domestic violence and their pets. We look forward to continuing our support for this cause and we can’t thank you enough for joining us to help make sure no pet is left behind! #BetterTogether
Some good news on #NationalPetDay. The purple leash project stick that was lost in transit was found and I’ll be using it in tomorrow’s @IAWild game before it goes to the winner from our auction. Thanks for your continued support of the #PurpleLeashProject and helping to keep pets and people together!
@Purina @RedRoverOrg
We’re so excited to see you at tomorrow’s @IAWild Pucks N’Paws game. Unfortunately, there was an unforeseen logistics issue and the Purple Leash Project stick was lost in transit, so I won’t be able to play with the stick tomorrow. We will still auction the stick but in addition the winner will get one of my current sticks, signed by the whole team, and will receive the special purple stick once we get our hands on it. There are other great items for auction including a signed authentic jersey of mine as well as baskets featuring favorite toys, treats, and wearables of our dogs Kaizer and Charlie, with all proceeds going directly to the #PurpleLeashProject. Thanks again for your support and joining @Purina, @RedRoverOrg, Sarah, and I in helping to keep pets and people together!
If you are unable to attend the @IAWild game today and are interested in donating to the #PurpleLeashProject on behalf of this event, please visit RedRover.org/PLP
1. Choose “Give once” or “Monthly” and choose your donation amount
2. Click “add comment”, type “Mermis PLP” and save the comment
3. Click Donate
With a one-time donation of $60 or more you will receive a special Purple Leash Project dog leash or cat collar. The purple leash serves as a symbol of the invisible struggle domestic violence survivors and their pets endure, as well as the unbreakable bond between pets and their people.
Thanks again for helping @Purina, @RedRoverOrg, Sarah and I in helping to keep pets and people together through this project!

DYK over 70% of women in domestic violence shelters report their abuser threatened, injured, or killed a pet as means of control? @Purina and @RedRoverOrg have a goal to have 25% of domestic violence shelters be pet friendly by 2025. Help us support the #PurpleLeashProject so that nobody has to stay in abuse because they can't take their pets with them! Visit purpleleashproject.com to learn more.

After last nights historic flooding in the St. Louis area our friends at gateway pet guardians (@gatewaypets) need help! Please consider donating and volunteering if you’re in the area. fb.watch/evNOSOLgNP/
This is a huge honor for my family! Without a doubt my wife Sarah, Joey Goldstein (@Hammer_stein), and the entire Wild Organization played a major role in everything we were able to do this year. The Des Moines community has amazing people and we have loved being a part of it!
With his commitment to the Des Moines community, we are pleased to recognize Dakota Mermis (@IAWild) with the Yanick Dupré Memorial Award, as the 2021-22 @IOAUSA/@amerspecins AHL Person of the Year 🏆
