My mum amongst the ENO orchestra taking a bow after Peter Grimes. – at Brent, London
Last night of #PeterGrimes at #EnglishNationalOpera. Sensational. At the curtain call - whoops not my own - the chorus and principals parted and the orchestra led scintillatingly by #MartynBrabbins filed on to take their bows. A ‘never seen this before’ moment. Long live #ENO

The Coronation showcased the brilliance of the UK’s classical music output.
But classical music is under threat on multiple fronts, with falling provision of music education & cuts both to funding & jobs in orchestras.
Here’s my question to the Government asking for a debate👇

People following the campaign to #SavetheBBCSingers and #SavetheBBCOrchestras will know I and other MPs have been trying to get a debate in Parliament on the threatened cuts.
My colleague @BambosMP has an adjournment debate on Funding and Support for Classical Music tomorrow.
