BREAKING: Pete Hegseth PUNISHES the poor sailor who jumped off a US Navy ship -- AND his family -- in a heartless show of cruelty and spite! Nicholas McKelvey was just 19 years old when he reached the end of his rope aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. He had spent 255 grueling days at sea, working 12-hour shifts in punishing heat, often without enough food, while his wife struggled to raise their children back home. He had missed the birth of his baby daughter. His mother-in-law was in treatment for cancer. And when he sought help for his deteriorating mental health, he says the Navy directed him to a chaplain instead of a mental health professional. Then, one August morning, McKelvey ran across the flight deck and plunged 67 feet into the Arabian Sea. A helicopter crew rescued him. But instead of treating his desperate act as a mental health emergency, the Navy accused him of FAKING his crisis to escape deployment. And on Thursday, the Navy moved to discharge him under conditions that will cost him his G.I. Bill education benefits – the very benefits he and his wife had been counting on to build a better life for their children. β€œThey'd rather blame the victim,” his wife, Samantha Larry, told The NYT. McKelvey and Larry have been together since middle school. They became parents as teenagers, dropped out of high school and married last year. He joined the Navy in 2024 in hopes of giving his family some sort of stable future. What he found instead was life aboard an aircraft carrier whose deployment stretched to a near-record 322 days as the war with Iran dragged on. Food supplies dwindled. Contact with home became difficult. McKelvey told his wife he wasn't sure he could finish the deployment. β€œI didn't want to be there anymore,” he told the Times. β€œIf I was going to die because of it, then that's just how it is.” McKelvey was not alone in his existential angst. According to the Navy's own report to Congress, there were EIGHT suicide attempts among sailors in the Lincoln strike group during the deployment. The Navy maintains that McKelvey deliberately jumped overboard to get out of his duties. Its records note that he wore a flotation vest and jumped when the sea was relatively calm. But one officer acknowledged in a report that the deployment had been so difficult it was β€œunsurprising that we might have a jumper.” Now McKelvey and his wife are preparing to return to Florida with their 3-year-old son and 8-month-old daughter. They're staying with relatives and in temporary rental housing while they figure out how to support their family. β€œWe're going to have to pull out student loans,” Larry said. β€œIt is essentially setting us up for just putting us in debt.” The Navy kept these sailors at sea for nearly 11 months, sent them into a war zone, worked them through punishing conditions and watched their mental health deteriorate. Eight suicide attempts in a single strike group should have set off every alarm in the Pentagon. Even if every day of that deployment was militarily necessary, the sacrifices these sailors made deserve recognition, compassion and care. Instead, when one 19-year-old father finally broke, the Navy accused him of faking it and took away the college benefits he had earned his family's hopes on. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth loves to preach his β€œwarrior ethos,” but what kind of warrior culture treats a sailor's psychological collapse as a disciplinary problem rather than a human emergency? McKelvey gave the Navy everything he had until he had nothing left to give. Now the institution he served is sending him home to his wife and two small children with fewer opportunities than he had when he enlisted. If this is how America repays the sacrifices of its young service members, the Pentagon has a great deal more to worry about than its recruiting numbers.

Fox: Why are you here this morning? Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

Imagine being dumb enough to be like, β€˜well, I can’t afford gas, I lost my cattle ranch, my wife’s OB closed up shop, my kids got measles, my blueberries might kill me, my lettuce gave me the shits and there’s a data center in my backyard, but at least it’s Lake America now!’ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

UPDATE ON GERALD AND THE CROW SITUATION: Things have escalated. I repeat. THINGS HAVE FUCKING ESCALATED. For those of you just joining us, yesterday I accidentally entered into diplomatic relations with a gang of crows after Gerald stole my good spoon. Well. This morning I walked outside and Gerald was waiting for me. Alone. Standing directly in the middle of my driveway. No screaming. No hopping around. Just staring at me like a tiny feathered loan shark who had come to collect. I said, β€œMorning, Gerald.” He tilted his head. I gave him a walnut. He did not eat it. Instead, this motherfucker picked it up, walked three steps to the left, PUT IT DOWN, and stared at me again. Message received. The offering was insufficient. So I went back inside and got more walnuts. When I returned… THERE WERE NINE CROWS. Nine. Yesterday there were seven. Gerald is fucking recruiting. And they were arranged in a SEMICIRCLE. This isn’t a bird friendship anymore. I’m funding organized crime. I distributed the walnuts because apparently I pay protection money now. Everything seemed fine until one of the smaller crows tried taking two. Gerald immediately screamed at him. The little one dropped the second walnut. I have accidentally created an economy. Gerald controls distribution. There’s a hierarchy. There are consequences. I’m pretty sure I witnessed a disciplinary hearing before breakfast. Then Gerald flew away. I thought we were done. WE WERE NOT DONE. Twenty minutes later I looked outside and there was something sitting where Gerald had been standing. A bottle cap. A shiny rock. And… MY FUCKING SPOON. HE RETURNED THE SPOON. Ladies and gentlemen. I believe we have successfully negotiated a trade agreement. Unfortunately, there is now a crow sitting on my mailbox. So I still cannot get my fucking mail. I tried approaching. He puffed up. I backed away. That mailbox belongs to the organization now. At this point I’m just a tenant. Anyway, Gerald has officially been promoted to General Gerald, Commander of the Driveway, First of His Name, Keeper of the Good Spoon, Lord of the Power Line, Collector of Walnuts, and Regional Manager of Whatever The Fuck Is Happening Here. I’ll keep everyone updated. But if I suddenly stop posting… Gerald found out I told you.

I went outside today with ONE objective. Get the mail. That’s it. A normal adult activity that should take approximately 45 seconds. Unfortunately, I saw a crow. And the crow saw me. Now, I don’t know what came over me, but I nodded at him. He nodded back. So obviously we’re colleagues now. I said, β€œWhat’s up, fucker?” He screamed. I screamed back. This was apparently the password. Because ANOTHER crow showed up. Then another. Within two minutes I had accidentally assembled a small airborne council in my driveway. My neighbor walked outside and asked what I was doing. I said, β€œDiplomacy.” She went back inside. Smart woman. Anyway, I decided my new associates deserved snacks, so I went inside and came back with peanuts. This is where negotiations deteriorated. One crow took a peanut. One crow stole THREE. And Geraldβ€” I named the biggest one Geraldβ€” Gerald ignored the peanuts entirely and stole a fucking spoon off my porch. Why was there a spoon on my porch? Irrelevant. Gerald has it now. That’s between him and God. I tried following him because THAT WAS A GOOD SPOON. This resulted in me barefoot, halfway across the yard, yelling, β€œGERALD YOU THIEVING SKY BASTARD, WE HAD AN AGREEMENT.” That’s when I noticed a little kid across the street staring at me. I stared back. He stared at the crows. Then back at me. I whispered, β€œThey’ve chosen me.” His mother immediately called him inside. Anyway. I never got the mail. Gerald has my spoon. There are now seven crows sitting on the power line outside my house. And one of them just dropped a bottle cap on my driveway. So either I’ve been accepted into their society… or they’re paying me. I don’t know. But tomorrow I’m giving them walnuts and assigning ranks. Gerald is already on thin fucking ice.
