Apparently it's #MyTwitterAnniversary - I never imagined an app I could text to post would become a pivotal town square for democracy, and then get cashed out into a personal pissing post for the person least living up to those ideals.

My 2 litmus tests for whether or not a stranger is a good person: 1: They put the shopping cart back where it belongs 2: They stand a few feet back from the airport baggage claim until they see their bag, instead of cutting in front and blocking people's view for no reason

Of course that's your contention. You're a first year engineering manager. You just finished some human centric leadership guru, Rands prob'ly.

holy fucking shit, Al Franken posed for a stupid photo and was forced to resign. Matt Gaetz is under investigation for sex trafficking and he's allowed to hang around and fuck things up for his own party. no wonder the rest of the world thinks we've lost our fucking minds

Start-up life = hard won insights. Here are my top 10 for this year. 1. Doing well at a start-up is not simply about skill, it is about mentality. A start-up mentality values action over correctness, results over process. It suits those that value autonomy over clarity.

And if you like God of War: Ragnarok, I wrote a full spoiler analysis about Raganarok and its predecessor, and how the central thread of "letting go" does some remarkable character work. theverge.com/2022/12/22/2351…

My son, who is a software engineer, just told me that people who know software just had their Elon Musk realization.

apropos of nothing but after 10 years in software if someone says "our only option is to rewrite this entire thing from scratch" you can pretty safely ignore them

If you let any story cut through all the Twitter noise today, please let it be this: At least six local news websites across Alabama and Florida have been secretly taking payments from power companies to run stories attacking clean energy + other policies npr.org/2022/12/19/114375312…

I asked an AI to describe a cat and then I put the AI's description of a cat into an AI image generator.
