Accurate diagnosis of acute tubulointerstitial nephritis (AIN) often requires a kidney biopsy. This study found that an AIN diagnostic model retained discrimination in two validation cohorts but needed recalibration to account for local AIN prevalence. bit.ly/JASN0556
