I’m delighted to share my new piece with Prof. Umut Korkut, “Breaking the Dichotomy: Non-Binary Belonging as a Tool for Inclusive Societies,” published in Ethnicities as open access.

Drawing on the D.Rad Project (2020–2024), we show how arts and sports create shared spaces where individuals connect across social, ethnic, and cultural boundaries.
By focusing on non-binary belonging rather than identity-based belonging, we argue that inclusive, non-binary experiences can counter polarisation and build more resilient, cohesive communities.

Just saw some of the recent Marie Curie postdoctoral fellows and… how are associate professors winning postdoctoral fellowships?
Early-career researchers shouldn’t need a book, a dozen articles, extensive project and teaching experience to get a postdoc. And they shouldn’t be competing with associate professors for “transitional” grants.
