At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered.
I told her I’d pray for her.

Because generation after generation they are the ones who bore the cost (with their lives) of maintaining it.

They speak with visceral hatred.
I’m convinced they don’t actually know anything real about him or his life, they just know he was murdered and they figure it was for a good reason (why else?).

On 12-10-20 I received this email from my director at ASU. The email tells us to decolonize our curriculum and includes a link to a page that explains what this means. On that page, we are told that decolonizing means taking out "elite white men" who are the colonial legacy of oppression. Does that seem like ideological bias to you?
