I finally have all 1.2 million raw image files from my latest mission to ISS! Here is a sample of one of my favorite Milky Way photos, taken from the Cupola with Nikon Z9, Arri Zeiss 15mm lens, T1.8 with custom sidereal drive that cancelled out star motion relative to our orbit.

The Moon and light from at least five objects in our solar system appear in this view from the @NASAArtemis II crew: Saturn, Mars, and Mercury, along with reflected sunlight from Earth and the glow of the Sun's corona and/or zodiacal light scattered by interplanetary dust. 1/2

The eclipse from Orion. On April 6, external cameras attached to the Orion spacecraft's solar array wings captured the Moon backlit by the Sun during a solar eclipse.

In this image, also taken from the Orion capsule, we see the divide between night and day, known as the terminator, cutting across Earth. Whether awake or dreaming, we're all here on this planet together.

These two images were taken by @astro_reid only minutes apart. The stark difference is the result of camera settings. In the first, a longer shutter speed let in much more light from Earth, while the shorter shutter speed in the second emphasizes our planet's nighttime glow.

We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.

This water imagery from the station highlights the sandbars of the Bahamas, the Gulf of California, the Kelantan River in Malaysia, and Nevada’s Pyramid Lake. Together, they illustrate the diversity of Earth’s hydrosphere and the processes that shape it.

Earlier on the expedition we found the most beautiful flower, and here, my friends, is the biggest: Rafflesia arnoldi seen in full bloom today in the Sumatran jungle. This is the largest flower on earth and one of the greatest wonders of the natural world.

Our star is a tiny little dot, just like one of these, in a tiny little galaxy in a vast universe. We're sitting on a tiny spinning pebble circulating around said tiny star, acting like idiots.
