This is a great question. Post-op CEA/calcitonin help to answer this question in individual patients. The number of lymph nodes involved can predict the risk of recurrence ie <10, 10-20 and >20. The more nodes/node levels involved the higher the chance of recurrence. #AHNSchat

My early #WIO role models were Drs Jennifer Grandis and BJ Ferguson at Pittsburgh. Was inspired by Dr Linda Brodsky to advocate for women in otolaryngology. And so grateful for all the women in Oto now who are mentors and sponsors and friends.

For #WorldHearingDay, a reminder to be careful with your earbuds/headphones. We did an outreach event and found that many students were listening to music at >90 dB SPL, this in a quiet building. Music that loud will permanently damage your hearing! @UMichOto @HearingHealthFn
