Love my ob/gyn job, caring for women and children entering the world! Also advocating for my patients with science and statistics for life at @lozierinstitute.

The great state of Texas
Joined September 2017
As an OB-GYN currently practicing in Texas, the quality medical care I provide did not change after Texas enacted its pro-life law. Nor has the law prevented me from caring for my patients in emergencies. Don't be fooled by misinformation.

If pro-life laws are driving OB-GYNs out of states, why aren’t we seeing a mass exodus elsewhere? A 2025 JAMA study concluded that 94% of OB-GYNs remained in states after passing pro-life laws. The reality is the vast majority of OB-GYNs don’t perform abortions, so pro-life laws (as long as the emergency exceptions are properly understood) should not affect their practice. lozierinstitute.org/what-sho…

Idaho's maternity care deficiencies demand real solutions. For example, the state can prioritize recruiting more OB-GYNs and create an OB-GYN residency program because many doctors practice where they trained. The Idaho Medical Association should also clarify confusion and misinformation about the state’s pro-life law which doesn’t prevent physicians from treating women facing a pregnancy emergency. Expanding abortion isn’t a solution.

With no federal mandate to report abortion complications, how can the abortion industry claim that abortion drugs are "safe?" CLI Medical Expert Ingrid Skop, M.D., explains what the FDA needs to conduct a more comprehensive review of abortion drug safety. lozierinstitute.org/peer-rev… #mifepristone #abortiondrugs #FDA

The FDA's 2021 analysis of abortion drug safety showed differential treatment of external stakeholder input, reflecting possible bias towards pro-abortion groups. Federal drug safety decisions should be based on comprehensive, impartial research. More: lozierinstitute.org/peer-rev… #mifepristone #abortiondrugs #FDA

When deciding to end the in-person dispensing requirement for mifepristone, the @FDA showed potential bias towards input from pro-abortion organizations than from pro-life organizations. More lies about Texas' pro-life law. As a Texas OB-GYN, I can tell you the law allows physicians to intervene when a pregnancy emergency threatens a woman’s life. Abortion activists are harming women when they spread these lies.

Considering the flaws of the FDA's 2021 review of abortion drug safety and deficiencies in abortion data nationwide, what would a more ideal analysis look like? lozierinstitute.org/peer-rev… #mifepristone #abortiondrugs #FDA

If abortion advocates say abortion drugs are "safe" and that the removal of the in-person dispensing requirement was based on science, then why was it necessary to examine the FDA's 2021 review of mifepristone safety? CLI Director of Policy Research and Lozier Library Zack Sluzala, Ph.D., explains. More: lozierinstitute.org/peer-rev… #mifepristone #abortiondrugs #FDA

Claims that abortion drugs are "safe" are unsubstantiated. The @FDA 2021 review of mifepristone safeguards failed to consider real-world conditions in which abortion drugs are used, reflected potential bias towards pro-abortion groups, and relied on insufficient complications reporting. Abortion activists claim mifepristone is “safer than Tylenol,” and that the FDA’s approval and relaxed oversight of mifepristone are “grounded in science.” But our new peer-reviewed paper exposes that @FDA's review of mifepristone safeguards did not sufficiently show that removal of the in-person dispensing requirement is safe, and may have even been biased towards pro-abortion groups. NEW: A peer-reviewed paper from CLI examines the evidence behind @FDA 2021 safety review of the abortion drug mifepristone, which resulted in the removal of the in-person dispensing requirement. Researchers found that the review was based on limited studies and incomplete data, raising serious questions about whether the FDA adequately evaluated the drug’s real-world risks. Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of speaking at the Montana Life Summit on the risks and benefits of abortion vs. childbirth. In a culture where false narratives and fearmongering from abortion advocates abound, women deserve the truth about the beauty of pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood.

Last week @docskop gave a great presentation on the mental health harms of abortion at the 2026 Catholic Medical Association's National Conference. Research shows that women who have abortions have a 138% greater risk of mental health issues than women who have live births. More: lozierinstitute.org/fact-she… #mentalhealth #abortion

False. No pro-life law prevents care for women experiencing a pregnancy emergency. Missouri's Amendment 3 acknowledges this specifically.
