There was a 6th measles death in an unvaccinated adult in Pennsylvania. CDC is only counting 2. Undercounting the epidemic makes it impossible to control. Why is CDC putting more people at risk? To conceal that these deaths were a choice. cidrap.umn.edu/measles/penns…

A year ago I warned what would happen if the U.S. tore down our disease detection system around the world With Hantavrirus and now a very concerning Ebola outbreak in DR Congo, we are seeing VERY clearly what we’ve lost. And why it matters. Read my @TheAtlantic piece from a year ago outlining what happened, and follow along as I continue to cover these issues in the coming days. theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv…

RFK Jr is trying to get 14 peptides, without data on safety or efficacy, licensed and approved by FDA. His favorite is BPC-157. "Only three small human studies of BPC-157 exist, for instance, the largest of which is a telephone survey of 16 people who received an injection of the drug for knee pain, and which was published in a third-tier journal, Alternative Therapies." economist.com/science-and-te…

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

I just want to emphasize: This is not normal. This is unprecedented. And it is chaos. This morning my colleagues -- who are working quite hard -- reported that the White House had decimated CDC offices related to injury prevention, respiratory disease surveillance, and chronic disease, as well of all the staff that edit the CDC's MMWR, one of the most important medical journals. Now *some* of those cuts are being walked back, but HHS won't even speak on the record. I have been a reporter who has covered health care and medicine for 20 years and this does not match with anything I remember seeing. Read more from @cooney_liz, @ChelseaCirruzzo, and @HelenBranswell. statnews.com/2025/10/11/cdc-…

A vacina contra o HPV protege você e toda a comunidade.
