Yes, I understand the point, but objectification specifically refers to reducing a female character to her sex appeal alone. Nobody who plays the game does this. The average player calls these girls wife. Do you really think a man is reductive about “his wife” like that?

It is actually more common for critics of female characters to objectify them over who the characters target. They ignore everything else about the girl, reducing them to their sexiness alone. Modern characters aren’t that one-dimensional and haven’t been for years.
