After 3 long, hard years of tireless work, our cross-campus, multi-discilinary academic team reaching our goal: State of CT support to scale up CR Boxes for every classroom in Connecticut! 💪🌬️💫💫
This passion project started from the point of care at @uconnhealth 🏥where I have been treating people living with MS since 2017 as a neuro-immunology nurse practitioner. 👩⚕️
When the 🦠 pandemic struck, my immunosuppressed patients were vulnerable - majority females with families and many educators that work in our CT Schools. 👩🏫👦🧒 [ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article…]
I looked at the mitigation efforts in these hubs of our communities and saw a gap - no air purifiers in schools, while @JohnsHopkinsSPH and @HarvardChanSPH recommended this intervention.[centerforhealthsecurity.org/…]

Last day to oppose. The Forest Service must keep GMOs out of public forests!
GE trees are no exception. They constitute unprecedented, irreversible and unnecessary risks!
Take Action Today: stopgetrees.org/us-forest-se…
Urgent Alert! - the US Forest Service is trying to open the door to #GMO trees on our public forests. This is outrageous after attempts to develop a GE American chestnut tree failed utterly. Sign on before Oct 14! stopgetrees.org/us-forest-se…
2 packages, 2 different(?) #millets:
L: 东北大黄米 dōngběi dàhuáng mǐ (Northeast proso millet) Panicum miliaceum
R: 山西糯小米 shānxī nuò xiǎomǐ (Shanxi glutinous foxtail millet) Setaria italica
To me, left is clearly #prosomillet. Right looks similar, not like #foxtailmillet.🧵
Back to the pair of items at the start of the thread, here are the reverse sides. Unfortunately, the ingredients in English don't help
While not in a position to say that SLR Food Distribution / Wise Wife brand made a mistake, I did not see a difference in the packages' contents
A fresh take...
On L is same as on right in previous pair: 山西糯小米 shānxī nuò xiǎomǐ (Shanxi glutinous #foxtailmillet)
On R is 山西小米 shānxī xiǎomǐ (Shanxi foxtail millet; i.e., regular)
Note different grain sizes. Is any glutinous/sticky foxtail variety that much bigger?

...Princeton and the study body must recognize the continued danger of COVID-19, even if we don’t return to the policies of 2020 or 2021.'

ALT In fact, other campuses like Yale retain much clearer guidelines for how students and faculty should respond to a COVID-19 outbreak. In updated guidance for this fall, Yale's Campus Health still requires that students who test positive isolate while they have a fever and wear masks for an additional five days in public. Yale also provides takeout meals rather than forcing infectious students to eat unmasked in the dining hall. These guidelines are clear and minimally invasive to student life while recognizing the unique threat COVID-19 continues to pose to people of all conditions.
This is a great idea - indoor CO2 levels visible from outside. And presumably inside as well?

Indoor space is a controllable environment. We spend 90% of our time there.
We heat and cool it.
We can clean the air in it.
The benefits include reduced exposure to infectious aerosols and Particulate pollution.
2 of our biggest public health concerns.
#CleanAir
We’ve had this filter in the @allianceparty meeting room at Stormont to promote clean air for the last 5 months. Thanks @RebeccaD84 for letting us use #PhilTheFilter to keep our indoor air clean during meetings.

This reminds of the idea of an AI "intelligent agent" for job searches

How to communicate the complicated diversity of #millets? Can it be effectively communicated in a single diagram? Here's a possible approach - a "millets triangle"

"What if a troublemaker simply decides to disguise his face with large sunglasses and a hat, instead? Are we going to criminalize sunglasses and hats, too?
