All carbon market observers I've spoken to are distraught over Article 6 texts.
They say "no deal is preferable" to ones that could seriously undermine chances of staying <1.5C and that #COP28 might be the last chance to address confidentiality in carbon trading bet countries.

UK govt joins EU, US, small island states etc reacting negatively to #cop28 draft
A govt spokesperson said: “This draft is disappointing and does not go far enough. The UK position is clear - there must be a phase out of unabated fossil fuels to meet our climate goals.”
Brasil says a need for balance needed between science and equity. Strengthening the language on phase out must come with adequate finance support for developing countries in transitioning. #cop28
