This is true. Sweet Lou was my favorite non-Red when I was growing up. It’s a crime that he isn’t in the Hall of Fame.

Lou Whitaker should be immortalized beside Alan Trammell in Cooperstown. I’m not sure any player was ever shafted worse by the writers. Sweet Lou received a paltry 2.9% of the vote and was off the ballot in one year. That’s an unfunny joke and more people need to talk about it.
