A week ago today was a pretty fun day in the People’s House.
I appreciate that my boss wanted me to invite some of my old friends and coworkers for a memorable afternoon in the grand ballroom. A great day to reminisce, now we get to look forward to doing it again next year.
Still thinking about this celebration with the Stanley Cup champions. Proud of what the @Canes accomplished last season and looking forward to another season of excellent hockey in North Carolina. Let’s go, Canes!
A great couple of days in Asheville with @NC_Governor and team celebrating the inaugural @BiltmoreChamp.
The community support blew me away - Western NC is a truly special place and this tournament will help showcase it on a national stage. Props to all involved!👊
Congrats to the @Panthers and @BankofAmerica for extending their partnership another 20 years - big for both parties and the community.
The Panthers immersive experience for their upcoming upgrades is wildly impressive.
Here’s to hoping that the two captains who previously led the Hurricanes to the Cup Final got to catch up this afternoon. 🤞
Really fascinating article & pod about the creation of Struttin’ Stormy and how he got placed on the @canes road jersey shoulder.
I appreciate @danlatorraca and @DakotaDinos including me in the convo about their brainchild.
Nice work, @deftlyinane👊
Check out this article/podcast (by: @deftlyinane @ncrabbithole) about the genesis of "Struttin Stormy"! Featuring @danlatorraca, @dougwarf , and myself. As well as one of my early sketches from the project.

@NC_Governor was in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium when he made it clear that the state is ready to work to bring MLB to Raleigh.
"Clearly, the Triangle is a lucrative and potential market for MLB, and we're gonna be working to do all we can.
And I think that the region really showed out. The viewership on this NHL playoffs were the highest in seven or eight years. People care about what happens here.
One of the fastest growing metro areas in the country, 22nd largest media market, which places them in a bigger than any other potential expansion site in the country.
So we're eager for this opportunity to be considered, and we'll do all we can to support it."

Build the statue
Put him in the Hall
Make him Governor…in 2032
One of the loudest ovations of the night was for the man who did what he said he would - bring the organization back to relevance and the @StanleyCup!
Struttin’ Stormy is about to be inches away from a @StanleyCup patch.
I know most of the people outside our market will not love it - but this patch was added because @canes fans DO love the collegiate nod.
So excited to see it on the ice tonight!
We need to find a single seat!
This man needs to be in the building.
Morning Caniacs!!!
I will be outside the @LenovoCenter tonight unless a last minute ticket pops up.
But I want to be there to Tailgate and Party.
Send me some locations of the best spots to have a Beer and Tailgate.
Go @Canes!
