Wow, incredible job @fofrAI. I was struggling to find a decent face swap model on Replicate until I found yours. Impressive!

Day 23 of making jump rope sessions more fun. Added sound effects, counter for premium jumps, and… a boost gauge (because why not?!)

note: even at 60fps and with extra interpolated frames gemini 2.5 pro has a hard time counting the jumps accurately. I might switch to a more traditional CV method in the future. Last bit with the kangaroo was generated using nano banana and kling 2.1

@samraaj no crossovers yet but I think I will keep the power gauge

used gemini 2.5 pro to build a jump counter. tested it on 1 min, but the goal is to make it fun for an hour-long session

having no language barrier is BY FAR the #1 cheat code to get an actual single, fluid European market, and be back in the race. Forget EU inc or whatever tiny fix. We should push extra hard on anything accelerating live translation teapawt.net/MacRumors/status/19660…

Evernote “ai-powered” search is terrible. Couldn’t find an old note after 20 tries so I exported the whole notebook in html, threw it in Gemini (HUGE context window) and it found the note in one shot. That’s so basic. No RAG, nothing fancy. Just one API call. What are they doing?

still exploring ways to showcase my favorite artists in my zoom backgrounds. This time I applied some depth of field to make it feel more real

Quite happy with my new museum-themed zoom background. The tricky part was to include pieces that I actually care about

an Estonian who’s never spoken English will become the #1 youtube creator on the planet with flawless AI dubbing and lip sync, it’s finally a fair fight on talent alone, not language. Can’t wait to listen to random Chilean podcasts ^^

Has anyone built an Aibo reboot yet? It has to be cute, self-charging, understand natural language (any language, obviously), play with the kids, acts as a moving Alexa to command things around the house, oh and open-source so we can tweak it as we please

tiny, open-source robot that does a bit of everything... you guys don’t have one of those? @ClementDelangue 👀

the flood of uninspiring Veo3 videos is a good reminder that the craft required to tell a compelling story is very much disconnected from the creative tool itself... and that *few* people have a clue what they are doing

the tech creed has always been "ideas are worthless, execution is everything" and we’ve made fun of the 1st time founders trying to hide their *super unique* ideas AI is flipping that. Execution becomes trivial, a mere prompt away. People will revert to “building” (if that still means something) behind closed doors, until they secure some type of moat

Just rewatched Benavidez vs Morrell Good lord Please sign me up for every single matchup with the other top guys in the division vs. Beterbiev: Benavidez’s engine is crazy. But Berterbiev’s is godly. And the Russian hits harder, has better ring generalship, and would be more than happy to trade blows. Explosive fight, I have Beterbiev by KO. vs. Bivol: Benavidez gets better after the 4th/5th round. Well, guess what, Bivol does too, and while not controlling the center of the ring, he would control the rhythm, like in the Zurdo fight. His elusive footwork would make Benavidez miss a lot despite his top-tier punch volume. Bivol wins this by UD. vs. Buatsi: Buatsi is crafty and athletic, but I don’t see him being able to sustain the Benavidez train after round 5 or 6. Like Morell actually. Except I think Morrell has a better chin and ring IQ than Buatsi. So, I’d bet Benavidez by KO. vs. Yarde: I am talking about a top-of-form Yarde, like the one who faced Beterbiev. Yarde is freaky strong and hits like a cruiserweight. That’s not good for Benavidez who likes to trade and could get caught. It’s the only guy beyond Beterbiev that I see potentially ko-ing Benavidez. That being said, I’d still favor the Mexican jab, defense, and engine. Benavidez by UD.

Sh*tting on the EU seems to be the most popular sport on X. But everyone is sleeping on the END of our market-limiting language barriers. all thanks to ai and *instant* translation. I mean ZERO latency. Yes, you can get perfect translation with basically any decent LLM. I am talking about having a freaking earbud that allows an Italian carpenter to chitchat with a Portuguese electrician in a bar. This type of sci-fi devices is right around the corner, and I bet this is going to make inner-EU trade explode in a way that we've never even fantasized about. Look, yes, overregulation and pessimism are rampant in Europe. But there is also the super basic fact that we are not a big market, but a dozen small and mid-sized markets. Whatever you are selling, sales don't scale magically, and good luck asking your Spanish team to be as effective when selling to, say, Austrian or Dutch prospects. "But, dear sir, it's not just about language, what about cultural nuances?" Hmm, hello? Have you ever sat at a cafe in any big EU city? We all do the same thing: talking about food, arguing about our football teams, smoking (lol), and bitching about American tourists 😂 Oh, still convinced that it's just because we are soooo bad and that it has nothing to do with size? Israel provides a pretty good narrative violation. 15 years ago every European country wanted to develop a tech sector as dynamic as Israel's. "Look, they are small and produce unicorns!" We followed their steps and hurray, you can find a bunch of unicorns in most major EU markets. But NO sign of 100B+ companies (the real size of a world-class leader now). Like in Israel. Because size matters. And i haven't even touched on the disproportionate power of scale. It's not a linear "I-am-2x-bigger-so-I-can-do-2x-more" situation. Take a dozen 10B companies. They can't collectively spare a couple of billions each year with no profit in sight for a ludicrous project like autonomous driving. A single 100B company can 🤷🏾‍♀️. And several did. I could go on but you probably get my point now. Everything changes when the concept of a "foreign" language evaporates. Just zero friction, none. Now your French sales rep can crack jokes with a Polish client as he would do with a Parisian colleague. That's a new world my friend. A world that even an army of Thierry Breton-like zealots won't be able to stop. A world where Europe is finally a mega-large functioning unified market. Find me a single EU lever with more potential than this. I'll wait
