📰Azure SQL VM Update📰
We have updated our Azure SQL VM sizing guidance!
aka.ms/AzureSQLVM-Size
We have made significant improvements to our documentation, designed for those seeking predictable performance and supportability. The updated content emphasizes key decision areas, including:
- Cost vs. performance tradeoffs
- Baselining and storage-first planning
- Mapping OLTP vs. OLAP characteristics
- Migration readiness
- Practical deployment defaults
Our recommendations detail the best Azure SQL VMs based on performance and cost considerations, along with essential features for deploying your virtual machines.
Additionally, the documentation includes dedicated sections on storage, security, HADR configuration, application patterns, and guidance on collecting a performance baseline for migration.
For more details, check out the updated documentation: aka.ms/AzureSQLVM-Size
Stay tuned for more updates!😉

Fun fact - Astronaut High School in Titusville, Florida.
It is no coincidence that the logo looks like the Anheuser Busch logo.
Go check out AHS's fight song:

Can someone please explain to me how that was roughing the passer?
The QB didn't even get hit above the shoulders?!?
It was just a good defensive play.
This is absolutely criminal what has happened to officiating this season.
