Xcode 14.1 was released today.
The latest available open-source release for the Xcode tools on opensource.apple.com/release… is still 12.0 from September 16th, 2020 🙁

The conduct of the BC NDP establishment towards @AnjaliApp and her campaign is disgraceful, embarrassing, and nakedly undemocratic. If such people feel their preferred candidate is better, they should have the courage to make that case to members in a fair and democratic election
NEW - BC NDP Leadership Chief Electoral Officer Elizabeth Cull is recommending Anjali Appadurai be disqualified from the leadership race to replace John Horgan. If the provincial council approves the recommendation tomorrow, David Eby will become BC’s next premier. #bcpoli
Jumping between Xcode and Android Studio these past few days, and I have to say Android Studio is trying really hard to make Xcode look good 😬

nohateoncouncil.ca/ There is a horrific amount of hate in BC's municipal elections this year. We know everyone is busy, and doesn't have time to research, so we did it for you. Find your municipality easy with the tabs! @ResistanceCats @RamRanchWest
Is there really no way to set required property `android.useAndroidX = true` in build.gradle without needing a whole other gradle properties file? 😒
Wonderful to see the release of Fahets Highgarden in MOULa today. A beautiful Age by @kohtlyr and a great setting for the October community announcements meeting.

It's always good to see stuff in the web component space, but can we please just standardize HTML Modules in browsers so we don't need all these extra libraries and frameworks and tools? 😩

Today, I got automatic provisioning set up for Xcode builds on GitHub Actions with a Cloud Distribution Certificate and I look forward to never touching provisioning profiles or fastlane ever again.
Ever. Again.
(Will try to do a writeup soon-ish because it's actually not hard)

Apple naming the pill cutout the “Dynamic Island” is the most Apple thing they’ve ever Appled
Why does GitHub Actions have "uses" and "run"?
Pick a consistent verb tense, I am tired of things failing because I typed "runs" instead of "run" 😑

relying on basic standards based html+css and treating client browser javascript as an upgrade path is not just a huge performance boost for web consumers: it make web devs faster too
no code is faster than code you didn't need to write!
I have had to explain to multiple Starbucks locations in the US that they do, in fact, sell English Breakfast tea 😓 (sadly, Orange Pekoe doesn't seem to exist in the States)
