Outside of the major team sports leagues, the PGA Tour has also yet to partner with a prediction market or allow its players to sign endorsement deals with them, citing concerns about uncertainty over governance and ongoing lawsuits.
The NFL now remains the only major American sports league that has not officially partnered with a prediction market

A few other tidbits: - This deal doesn't cover the WNBA - Novig, FanDuel, & others expected to become authorized prediction market partners soon - Expect team-level deals now. Warriors & Kalshi are expected to reach a deal, sources tell @FOS - Lakers have also held talks w/ PMs
The NBA has named Kalshi and Polymarket as its “preferred prediction market partners." The NFL is now the biggest remaining U.S. men's league without a prediction market deal, as MLB, NHL, and MLS are all partnered with at least one. Story: frontofficesports.com/articl…

nobody loathes average Americans more than the grifters who claim to speak for them
The coastal elites hate Americana. We know what they really think, and we know why they are so quickly defending Obama’s snobbery. They might think they are “too good” for the Cheesecake Factory, or find the decor to be tacky, but most regular Americans don’t

Kind of perfect that this line comes from a billionaire scolding his adult children for disappointing him

The Dream will host Game 6 at Gateway Center if the WNBA Finals schedule remains as is, the team tells @FOS. They are awaiting the league’s decision. A lot more in here on Game 6, and how a schedule change could impact a possible Game 7 in SF ⬇️ frontofficesports.com/articl…

Although there are four days on the calendar between Games 5 and 7, as this story lays out, just moving Game 6 to one of them is not quite so simple

There's really no need for an Elizabeth Holmes-Billy Evans or an Elizabeth Holmes-Nathan Fielder couples costume, both pairings are located roughly every 100 feet in New York City

The NFL and NFLPA have launched discussions in their joint review process under the CBA of the Jalen Hurts medical case. It could take up to four months, the CBA says (up to 60 days to choose experts, another 60 days for them to issue a report). In @FOS. frontofficesports.com/articl…

All James Dolan had to do to completely repair his disastrously bad image was nothing and he couldn’t manage that. So defensive!
Statement from an MSG spokesperson: “There is a great deal of misinformation regarding the championship rings. The plan has always been to distribute more than 275 rings and jewelry to the people in the organization who were part of last season’s success. As is common with many teams, the players were always supposed to get their rings as part of the opening night ceremony and then everyone else will receive theirs in about 4-6 weeks. Regarding the phishing email, the process of securing and reminding our employees to protect our IP was not a mistake but the choice to use the ring to do so was a mistake and we apologize to our employees and the fans.  Winning the championship was a great moment for all New Yorkers. Those who choose to focus on the negative are missing the joy that comes with the team’s accomplishment.”

Need Arteta to deliver a more confusing version of this about what a 1-0 lead actually means
Mazzulla's full answer on this: "I mean, (why do teams blow leads) is a very loaded, complex question. I don't think that has one answer to that. We actually relied on our analytics staff; they did a great study for us, a breakdown of that over the course of the league (in) the last 10 years, and they gave us a ton of great information and insight," Mazzulla said. "And it's funny because I asked the same question watching the Spurs-Knicks game in the Finals, where you take a team who's up 29 in the first half, and they have a chance to go after something that (is) their dream and their goals, and they can't hang on to it. "And it’s not because they didn't want to. It's not an effort thing. I think there's a ton of data that goes into it. I think there's a ton of a particular, you know, mental training that you have to have for that. I think when people look at leads, they automatically think you are the sole reason why a team is up big, when in reality the other team is just as much a culprit of why they're down 22 as to why you're up 22. So I think it's a dual relationship to a lead, and so you know you have to be able to mentally work through those things at the same time. "At the same time, our analytics team provided us with some great insight and perspective on things that you can try to combat in those moments. I also think there's a natural tendency to say you're up 20, let's get to 30. I don't think that's realistic, and I don't think that's possible. I think you have to work on winning the transition of it. If you're up 20, analytically, it's really only a 15-point lead. So you have to know that. You're really only up 15; you're not up 20 because of the variance of the game. You have to play with the expectation that it's probably going to get down to six or seven, and then how can you be great at getting it back to 10? I think it's just a mindset of like, 'Oh my god, we're up 20, we have to get it up to 30.' "No. It's a game. The other team has great players. There's a variance aspect to it. There's a mental aspect to it. Can you be great at the transitions in momentum as opposed to just thinking that you have to 'put them away.' Like, can you be the master of momentum? Can you be the master of the turning points? Can you be the master of, it's going to get back to 12, when it's there, can you do what we've got to do to get it back to 15, right? "I think we had some good moments at the end of (Tuesday's) game. Because it was 22, then it was three, then it was six, then it was 12, then it was seven, then it was three, then we lost. So the winning comes in that space of 22 to treat it as six to 12 to seven to four. Can we win those spaces and not focus on 'keeping the lead,' if that makes sense? I think that's a reactive approach as opposed to a relatively aggressive approach."
