notice how american horror story has seemingly been building a trilogy starting with season 11, connected not only by an overarching mythology but also by the deliberate choice to make new york city as the central setting. and i really don’t think that’s a coincidence. season 11, “nyc”, explores hiv/aids through a supernatural lens, hinting at a connection to the devil himself. season 12, “delicate”, dives into satanic witches, occult fertility rituals, and conspiracies that trace all the way back to 42 ad. season 13 feels like the culmination of this entire storyline, not only bringing the nyc trilogy full circle but also tying it back to the first ten seasons by bringing back elements of previous storylines and weaving them into a much bigger picture. when you look at nyc, delicate, and 13 as parts of the same narrative, there’s a clear progression. first, we see the consequences of evil, then we uncover its ancient roots and the people working behind the scenes, and finally, we get a direct confrontation with the devil himself. and if this really is an intentional trilogy, the question is no longer whether the devil exists in the ahs universe, but how long he’s been pulling the strings, and how many storylines we thought were separate were actually part of one much bigger plan.
