Harper College awarded an honorary degree to Mr. Bernard B. Bluestein. Bernie, as he likes to be known, has taken art classes at Harper for more than 30 years and served as a member of the Ghost Army in World War II.
As shared at our 55th graduation ceremony and featured on several news outlets, he is a 2022 Congressional Gold Medal recipient, a defender of democracy, a role model to us at Harper, and an inspiration to anyone pursuing dreams at any age.
So proud of our graduates and our Harper team members who worked diligently for us to have a fabulous celebration of our students’ achievements! Congratulations Class of 2023!!!
Today we honor our graduates for their hard work and perseverance to excel in their studies! Congratulations Class of 2023! We know the best is yet to come! It’s truly a sweet ending to new beginnings! Go forward and change the world!!!
