A piece in @nytimes highlights often missed diagnosis of Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome.
What struck me most from the article was this one line:
“Do you have good insurance?”
It’s a shame we are at this point in our healthcare.

Dr. Macsata was the most influential mentor I had. I would not be a vascular surgeon without her. She believed deeply in residents and education and her patients loved her. I am so grateful for her mentorship and the lasting imprint she left on my life.

As someone who works regularly in a hospital and the ER, I can say this claim is categorically false. Ms. Leavitt should take the time to read about EMTALA, which guarantees emergency lifesaving care for all. The lack of compassion here is not just disappointing — it's shameful.

Ruptured pseudoaneurysm in a patient with prior open repair at the distal and proximal suture lines. Successfully repaired with 4v FEVAR and iliac extension.

I’m amazed how much Thrombectomy devices have improved over the last several years. This one is with @InariMedical Flowtriever. Unable to clear the thrombus with another device but flowtriever pulled this out along with some chronic fibrous material in two suctions
