When one of my friends was on a GP placement in med school (early 2000s) he asked the GP how Wakefield's "work" affected MMR uptake and measles in children. The GP put down his tea. Then bellowed "ANDREW WAKEFIELD IS A FUCKING CUNT" Which sums it up really.

Before NHSE, MPs & Govt decide to completely dispense with GPs in favour of other direct patient care staff They need to recognise that currently the only measure of activity is patient consultations, that these are undercounted & that the majority of what GPs do is unmeasured
