I was at this game - the emotional thud at the Vet when Batiste made the error, followed by the loudest roar I ever heard when he got the GW hit. One of best Phillies moments ever.
I'll be showing my LL team this tonight - how to get over an error.
And and all-time HK call
One of the best men I’ve ever known. Was an honor to work alongside Barry on NHL 2 Night. He was always game for any fun idea, and helped producers understand how to bring creativity to the screen. But mostly, just a good human who treated everyone with respect. And the laugh…
Barry Melrose, the former NHL player and coach who was a beloved, longtime hockey analyst for ESPN, died Wednesday, his wife, Cindy, told ESPN's Steve Levy. He was 70. spr.ly/6015BGKJ0b

An all-timer here from @SethWickersham. Cannot recommend this enough.
In January, I spent the playoffs embedded with Sean Payton and the Broncos. Sixteen-hour days, capturing every meeting, decision, and the raw and unfiltered creativity, energy, desperation, rage, joy, and loneliness of trying to win in The Second Season.

So many great SID’s in college sports, but the very best ones are seemingly interwoven with their schools. That was Kenny - he was Louisville athletics, through and through. Condolences to his family and loved ones.
Not a story I ever wanted to write. Kenny Klein, beloved longtime sports information director at the University of Louisville, has died at 66 wdrb.com/sports/u-of-l-sport…
A tremendous honor for Welles and the Crowther family.
President Trump posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to volunteer firefighter Welles Crowther, who sacrificed his life to save others during the 2001 attack on the World Trade Center.
Crowther, the 24-year-old hero known from the documentary "Man in Red Bandana," was honored by the president at a rally Friday for Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) in Rockland County, New York.
...and the first from Delco! Can't wait to watch @kevinMcGonigle7 's MLB career
@DelcoBaseball1
Kevin McGonigle is just the 6th player since 1900 to tally 4 hits in his MLB debut on #OpeningDay!
I cannot wait to read this book by @genowoj. Geno + Augusta, I'm in.
Love when @jonahjackson73 gives Media shoutouts! Springton Lake, where my parents live.

Congratulations to the Sunday NFL Countdown cast & crew. The entire production of the Tribute To Service this morning was superb. Entertaining, insightful, emotional, every detail perfectly planned and executed. You guys are the best. @Espngreeny
My hottest sports take…
Some NFL team should line one of these giants up behind the line to block/distract FG’s. Has anyone even TRIED it? Been saying this for years. Especially now, as FG’s are getting longer and with lower trajectory.
Canadian 19-year old, Olivier Rioux, checked in for the Florida Gators becoming the tallest D1 college basketball player in history standing at 7'9 😳🇨🇦
