When Dave Parker, my dad, and the rest of the Pittsburgh Pirates won the World Series in 1979, it was one of the most enjoyable years of my life. Each time I would come into the clubhouse, Dave Parker would extend his right bicep and I would leap up and swing on it like it was a monkey bar. He was one of the kindest and most feared baseball players I ever got a chance to be around. I am so happy this day has come where he is recognized as one of the greatest players to ever play this game. Congratulations Dave Parker for being elected to the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. #wearefamily MLBHallofFame #MLB #DaveParker
