AEW puts a match that was historically featured in PPVs for years on a regular TV and this guy is celebrating and using words like “shellac”. No Meltzer. They got a good rating but they didn’t shellac anyone. And the NXT show was an NXT show. That’s not their top guys. You had some guest appearances and Punk wrestling in a cold match with little promotion time. And no Meltzer, adding in Max numbers isn’t going to put Dynamite over a million. We know now that it’s very possible that the rating we got includes most of Max’s viewership. This right here is how you manipulate numbers to make things look better than what they really are. #AEWDynamite #NXT @AltJakeTakesOn @AEWAwfulness @AEWNeckbeard
"It's one thing when AAA and NXT are put in a morning time slot to go against All In in London and fail. The thing that this one showed is on AEW's night, WWE can throw it's heaviest cards and got shellacked... that is something that I don't think anyone in WWE ever imagined." - Dave Meltzer youtube.com/live/KXk1hV5Vlsw…

It did? Really? Well why are there people lined up everyday at Apple Stores trying to get one? @Vyyyper @trentonstech did you know about this?
The hype around iPhone Duo died quickly 😬

Hmmm… So it’s possible that the ratings we’ve been getting lately INCLUDE HBOMax numbers?!
This is potentially interesting. If WBD’s been including Max viewing in reported sports audiences both before and after Nielsen’s move to Big Data + Panel, why would you automatically assume it’s excluded from the reported audiences for other sports and live simulcasts? I can’t believe I never really looked at this before, because the precedent’s sitting right there. Look at the chronology. October 2023. Jon Lewis at @paulsen_smw reported 5.34M viewers attributed to TBS and 454,000 to truTV for Braves–Phillies Game 4 on October 12, approximately 5.8M combined. His article explicitly says: “Viewership via the Max streaming service is included in the Nielsen figures.” Those published network figures already included Max viewing in the Nielsen audience being described. Just because TBS is next to a number doesn’t mean everybody represented in it watched through a cable subscription. Then, on October 25, 2023, WBD announced 9.1M viewers for Diamondbacks–Phillies NLCS Game 7 across TBS, truTV and Max. Its own methodology note says: “Nielsen Live + SD data through StarTrak (includes Max connected device data).” @TNTSportsPR, that’s the company’s own language, in its own fucking pressroom. Max connected-device viewing was explicitly included in the Nielsen component of that announcement. September 2025. Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel became the standard for its ratings press claims, combining the traditional household panel with data from millions of smart TVs and set-top boxes. The measurement changed, but WBD had already documented including Max connected-device viewing nearly 2 years earlier. October 2026. Lewis addressed the question again beneath his baseball coverage. Asked whether the reported TBS audiences included truTV and HBO Max, alongside a similar question about NBC, he answered: “Yes and yes, but the HBO Max figures are only for connected devices (no mobile).” For those figures, connected-device viewing was included and mobile wasn’t. So we have documented inclusion in 2023, a major Nielsen methodology change in 2025, and another explicit explanation of inclusion in 2026. That doesn’t establish how every other broadcast is measured. It establishes why you need to check before declaring that a published network audience excludes streaming. Big Data + Panel doesn’t automatically include every app, and a TBS or TNT label doesn’t automatically mean streaming is excluded. If those streaming viewers are already counted, adding them again is double-counting. Calling it analysis doesn’t fix the math. Read the fucking footnote. Yes, I’m aware @wrestlenomics has reported exclusions for particular Max simulcasts. I think they’re great at Freedom of Information Act requests, pulling public records, that kind of shit. But I don’t trust their entertainment industry reporting whatsoever, I don’t trust their analysis. Being good at obtaining documents doesn’t automatically make your interpretation of the business authoritative. “AEW is better than WWE”. There are some things that AEW does well. The problem is that AEW doesn’t do many of the important things well. They don’t tell enough stories. They rush potential big matches. They have too many belts. Too many crazy, meaningless spots, and they don’t take time to generate emotional investment in the wrestlers or the matches. And the metrics show it. Ratings are at NXT level. Live attendance is around a third of WWE, and now even the PPVs are suffering. #AEW #WWE

The name is HORRIBLE! Why can’t they be Bullet Club Gold. Or if they can’t use the name, just be The BCGs. If they get over, the crowd would chant BCG BCG. That would be cool. #AEWCollision #AEW
The Dogs + Bang Bang Bang. Now known together as... THE LAST OUTFIT. Jay White just named their faction.

As referenced from today’s episode of #RawvsDynamite with @ChiTownSmark this is at the Pechanga Arena on June 27 2017. You can see the upper terrace tarped off.

I’ll give credit where credit is due, @thenickwayne is getting “it”. This was probably the best segment on the show. I’m pretty sure @IAmJericho is the brains behind this segment and Nick executed it at a really high level. Nick is a guy who can do all the cool moves but is also showing personality and it’s getting over with the audience. We need more of this.
In case you missed it, @theNickWayne beat Chris Jericho... twice. Watch #AEWDynamite LIVE on TBS & HBO Max!

Usually I don’t engage with dickheads like this guy right here but I got a problem with this. Yes, I am a Marine Corps vet. Over 12 years bitch Yes I made it back Yes I know people who didn’t make it back Some of those people I actually helped facilitate putting them in a combat theater that they didn’t come back from and I keep that shit in my heart. So I will give a very special FUCK YOU to Benjamin here because he felt the need to insult fallen veterans over my opinion about pro fucking wrestling. May you suffer multiple paper-cuts in the webbings of your fingers ass wipe
USMC veteran? Shame you made it back

I disagree with @HeyHeyItsConrad on a few points. He keeps calling Roman an industry plant in contrast to Hogan, Flair, and Austin. Hogan in a lot of ways was the definition of an industry plant. He was hired by Vince Jr with the specific purpose of being the driving force for WWF’s nationwide expansion in the mid 80s. Flair can be an industry plant because he was the NWA Worlds Champion. In order to be NWA champion at that time, you had to be voted on. Then his boss Crockett took complete control of the NWA and pushed Flair as the driving force. When it come to “t-shirts” no, you don’t see Roman Reigns tshirts like Austin 3:16 or NWO shirts but what you do see are reels on social media of men getting married and copying Roman’s entrance. Roman wasn’t even supposed to be the guy right now, that was supposed to be Cody. But Roman has been appointed by popular demand of the fan base.
"I'm standing on business. He's an industry plant." 👀 🗣️ @HeyHeyItsConrad is not backing down from his statements about Roman Reigns being "overrated" 👇

At some point, there needs to be a serious conversation as to why AEW Dynamite with that roster is so close in total viewership against a developmental brand that recently had their top talent raided. #NXT #WWE #AEW @AEWAwfulness @AEWNeckbeard @AltJakeTakesOn
#AEWDynamite, #WWENXT & #AEWCollision ratings for this week, via Wrestlenomics: NXT: Total viewers: 732K P18-49 rating: 0.14 Dynamite: Total viewers: 715K P18-49: 0.14 Collision (aired after Dynamite): Total viewers: 514K P18-49: 0.10 As always, AEW numbers do not include Max, NXT does not include ESPN Unlimited

Since that other clown blocked me, the guy was making a fuss about the fact the WrestleDream will outsell last year’s. Here’s the issue, last year they were in St Louis and this year they are in Fl. Even if they sell the listed setup, they will essentially sell the same as last year. They did 6293 last year
For starters a sellout here is only over 8k so

How TF do you get the audience of an entire country to make a coordinated statement like this? And why does it have @ThisIsTNA logo at the top?
