Magellan is the vice warden of Impel Down. He was formerly the chief warden, but after his failure to stop the jail's one and only mass-breakout, he was replaced by Hannyabal and demoted to vice warden.
Magellan's biggest quirk is his severe diarrhea brought upon by his frequent consumption of poisoned food. His Devil Fruit ability gives him immunity from actually being poisoned, but it does not spare him from diarrhea. As a result, he spends approximately ten hours each day in the bathroom relieving himself and eight hours sleeping; even after suffering such conditions multiple times, he still insists on eating poisoned food. It has been hinted that he is actually agoraphobic and enjoys dark, enclosed spaces.
Though he only performs roughly four hours of duty per day as Warden of Impel Down, he still takes his role quite seriously and does not tolerate the prisoners' bad behavior. As he has permission to execute any one of them he sees fit, he shows no hesitation to drench them in his Hydra's lethal poison, as seen with what happened on Level 6 when insulted by prisoners.
Magellan also takes great pride in keeping Impel Down's reputation of being impenetrable and inescapable and felt personally insulted when Monkey D. Luffy became the first to stain that record since Shiki 20 years ago. Despite his demotion, he is still considered the most reliable man of Impel Down.
Hody is a radical believer in fish-men supremacy, perhaps the most radical among his kind, which has made him a proud, cruel, and vicious-natured fishman who is easily slighted by any human action. Like many of his kind, he hates humans for leaving Fisher Tigerto die when he could have been saved (which was not true, as Tiger refused human blood due to being betrayed), but his hatred, bloodthirst, and racism are stronger than almost any other fish-man in existence, looking for any excuse to do harm to humans that come across his path and attacking without mercy. Like Arlong, Hody believes that fish-men are the supreme race, and he has been deeply influenced by Arlong's words combined with news narratives that made fish-men into a brutal and domineering species that should fight for supremacy.
Despite the fact that they both looked down on humanity, his treatment of humans is even more brutal than Arlong's. Hody's racism towards humans makes them little better than expendable tools, and he sees them as nothing more than pawns, whereas Arlong had left humans alone so long as they paid him "tribute" money periodically. Arlong mainly killed humans to make examples of them when they did not pay up and was content with leaving them be, aside from odd acts to make sure the humans knew who was boss, but Hody will go out of his way to attack humans, such as using them as part of his plan that will almost ensure their deaths and threatening to kill them outright if they refuse, giving them very little chance to live altogether.
Tanaka takes his security guard duties very seriously and will immediately report to the site of a disturbance as well as report anything important that happens to Gild Tesoro. However, he often takes pleasure in attacking criminals, laughing while using his Devil Fruit to disorient them.
Tanaka is polite and appreciative when making transactions with others. He does not seem to like disturbances around him. He also demonstrates rather crude and childish behaviors, such as picking his nose in public. He takes Tesoro's business engagements very seriously and will not hesitate to report someone who has failed Tesoro, which will result in their death.
Due to his completely spoiled nature and arrogance as a World Noble, Charlos is extremely selfish and unreasonable. Considering himself a god, he believes he has the right to cruelly enslave anyone including royalty and will ruthlessly murder anyone who refuses to comply with his demands as is shown when he ordered Rob Lucci to kill Neptune when he attempted to save his own daughter from him.
Charlos is an incredibly foolish and ignorant man, showing no form of maturity or common sense no matter how many beatings he receives. Even after being attacked by Mjosgard for his actions in trying to enslave Shirahoshi, he learned nothing from the ordeal and still tried to enslave her again later by using Kuma as a weapon. Again, for his actions gets him brutally beaten up by Sai and Leo as they flatten his head while Mjosgard takes responsibility for attacking him.
Charlos is obsessed with mermaids, having spent a massive amount of money just to buy Camie. After taking an interest in Shirahoshi, Charlos went as far as to openly attempt to enslave her during the Levely.[9] There seems to be a running gag for this, as every time he tries to enslave a princess mermaid for his own entertainment and selfishness, he gets a consequently beating from others learning nothing from his actions, being brutally beaten up by Luffy, Mjosgard, Sai and Leo. His actions can be considered even more abusive and extreme than the rest of the ordinary World Nobles.
"Three-Tongued" Demalo Black is the former captain of the Fake Straw Hat Crew. He impersonated Monkey D. Luffy to benefit from his reputation, but was later arrested by Sentomaru. Afterwards, he began impersonating Eustass Kid, before being arrested again
Black's personality is quite similar to that of the World Nobles, albeit somewhat less extreme, believing that impressive heritage and high status will grant him immunity and undeserved rights. The difference is that the World Nobles, and other Royalty, are mostly correct, unfortunately, and do receive such privileges, while Black's ruse is only impressive to other criminals. He is extremely ruthless and egotistical, using the real Luffy's reputation to act with impunity. With Luffy's exceedingly high bounty and known infamy, Black believes he can get away with virtually anything. He treats his reputation as an entitlement, expecting others to accommodate him simply because he is a famous pirate. He seems to have enough common sense to realize that his reputation alone will not protect him from everyone, though he still attempts to use it as leverage in a pinch.
Unlike the real Luffy, who places little importance to a person's background, Black takes every opportunity to brag about his heritage and accomplishments, which he uses to justify his actions; in fact, he uses it as his primary weapon to intimidate his opponents in order to defend himself. He has no qualm with hurting innocent people, apologizing sarcastically after accidentally shooting bystanders he mistook for his enemies. He places no importance on the well-being of his crew, viewing them as a means to an end. By comparison, Fake Sogeking shows more care of his crew mates than him. He also appears to be a coward, using Fake Nami as a sacrificial lamb to escape Usopp's carnivorous plants.
Black's arrogance seems to cloud his better judgment. Having met the real Nami, Usopp, Luffy, and Chopper, he failed to recognize any of them. Black had to be told of Chopper's identity by Fake Sanji and Fake Zoro. It was also apparent that Black did not take into the account the consequences of impersonating a notorious pirate such as Luffy, apparently forgetting the fact that he was currently wanted by the World Government, not to mention the fact that the real Luffy made scores of enemies on the wrong side of the law in achieving his level of notoriety and that some of them may even exploit the Fake Straw Hats recruitment scheme in order to get close enough to target the impersonators, which led to the fake's capture and Sentomaru even stated that Black and his fellow impostors were idiots. This mindset, coupled with his ego, ultimately led to Black's downfall when his empty threats against Sentomaru backfired.[7]

Donquixote Pirates
Tesoro first encountered the Donquixote Pirates when the crew was auctioning off the Goru Goru no Mi at the time. He would successfully acquire the Devil Fruit despite the Donquixote Pirates not intending to actually sell, creating an antagonistic relationship between them. The Donquixote Pirates attacked Tesoro's crew four years later, but were unsuccessful in defeating them. Therefore, Donquixote Doflamingodecided to use Tesoro as a business partner instead. Doflamingo gave Tesoro connections in the World Government and the Underworld, and the two worked with each other for eight years, but their partnership was ultimately uneasy as Tesoro intended to betray Doflamingo. He was pleased when he heard that Doflamingo was instead defeated by Luffy.
Tesoro's main objective in running Gran Tesoro is to drive visitors into severe debt and forcing them to work to pay it off, which is impossible to achieve. He is also shown to care less about the people forced to work for them provided that they entertaining to him.
Due to once being a slave to the World Nobles, Tesoro hates wealthy people and aristocrats. Ironically and hypocritically, he is a wealthy person himself who revels in his own status while looking down on the less fortunate.
The reason why he surrounds himself with beautiful women like Carina and the Tesoro Girls is not because of love or lust, but because he thinks that beautiful women are something that a powerful man needs to show off to make others understand his wealth and power.[citation needed]
Backstory & Motivations
Born into severe poverty, Tesoro originally dreamed of being a singer and entertainer. After running away from an abusive and ruined home, he turned to a life of crime. He met a captive girl named Stella at a slave auction house and fell in love, striving to earn enough clean money to buy her freedom. However, a World Noble purchased Stella before he could complete the funds. When Tesoro tried to fight back, he was also captured and enslaved by the Celestial Dragons in Marijoa, enduring years of brutal torture until he escaped during Fisher Tiger's raid.
Traumatized by Stella's death and his inability to save her, Tesoro adopted a nihilistic philosophy that money rules absolute and used his criminal empire to build Gran Tesoroâultimately inflicting the same cruelty onto others that he suffered under the World Nobles.
