it's for a whole new world but i am still kinda sad about it — i love my colleagues and the work but the scope was just too much, it was impossible to keep doing the work of two departments
okay gang i think i have experienced enough of the corporate world to know that it's academia or bust
now what
colleagues described my first week on the new job as "throwing the baby off a cliff and directly into the sea" so that's how things have been going for me so far
welp. so i found out earlier this month that my supervisor had tendered her resignation while we were still waiting for my new contract at my old place and i am not waiting around to see how the cards fall
but they made me the offer within three hours, which was tremendously gratifying, and i was completely in a haze and told them i could start on monday
